This one seems very reactive with consequences. not the usual, "select every dialogue option till they are all exhausted" route. so far, seems like you need to actually think about which dialogue you choose pretty frequently. and, the order you do things at the start effects things.
counterpoint is it does seem to be missing a number of key interactions that should exist.
like, playing sanctioned pysker.
more then a few times in the prologue it totally ignores that. "we need to get to elbard, hes a pysker! and we can't have a rampant psyker loose on the ship!" uh... lord captain... I feel like I should tell you something... iirc, someone also makes mention of him being a mutant witch. again. Im standing right here.
no direct interactions with idira either. you'd think your sanctioned pysker would have ALOT to say to idira. about the black ships, about terra, the torture, the bond, etc. but nah. only interaction is you questioning idira, and her going, "you should know? shouldn't you?"
Obviously its tough to really incorporate every background/story into every dialogue. but man did those feel obvious.
the other background stuff is a bit rough too. the moment of triumph bg. picked fame, for psyker its saving a ship by sending a warp entity back to the warp. but its clear the "fame" is generic. every time it comes up with dialogue its 100% vague and generic. "oh, im impressed to be meeting someone so famous. you are so famous, for being famous." bizarre this is even in the game, with out poorly its done.
and I think I decided on Iconoclast, slightly radical. I think that makes the most sense for a Rogue trader. An exemplar of humanity, the best and the brightest. constant contact with xenos, and chaos. Walking the knives edge to expand humanities interests. While the Inquisition, Ecclesiarchy, etc can be the bastion of the Empires Dogmatic views.
Obviously that libertine thinking opens the gate for Chaos, and everyone thinks they will know where the line is, when to stop and go not one step further...
