they hired him, he likely headed up this video



they'd be crazy if they weren't using him to work on a full length animated movie with minimal voicelines and story told through action, I don't play warhammer but astartes got me into the lore

That's awesome. I also agree that if they made a full length feature film it would be fantastic. I'd be more excited about that than any regular Hollywood movies that are currently coming out.

Maybe if people stopped buying games from the big scummers, the money and talent could go better places. Takes a lot more than 1 guy to make that happen, shrug.

Yes, G.W. "hired" him and by that, I mean that threatened him, extorted him, chained him in the basement with no windows, feed him bread and water, and threaten to kill his dog if he doesn't make content for free.

This may be my favorite CGI short video of all time. The animation, the music, the narration......I've watched it many, many times! Edit - when the horns sound and that Eldar walker comes out of the smoke - goosebumps every time.

I question your tastes old 1st edition man.

The quality being newer is better, and the titans fighting each other was indeed pretty epic, but the rest of it was bizzare artsy fartsy when you compare it to DOW 1 and 2 cinematics. One still gives me the best "this is warhammer" vibes in terms of the madness and the sacrifice of the dude followed by seeing it as one tiny part of a global battle.

2 Was just visceral marine rampage and determination.

If we are talking CG in general, make sure you've gone and watched "astartes" on youtube. That's the crowning achievement of anything 40k so far.

I really loved the original warhammer books - there was a Space Ork one called ‘ere we go, featuring a bunch of short stories about dok hacksaw and his gretchin, fuggit.
