We're trying the Time of Use energy plan this year too, going to be real interesting. Working well so far, we basically shut everything off including the A/C from 6 to 9pm. Started on the first, gets to about 80-81 in the house before 9 and then kick everything back on.
Won't be able to do that all the time on the hotter days, but outside of those exceptions probably save $250+ a month between the power fasting and not paying a flat .14 per KWH all day. Got the EV rider too, so a little cheaper overnight as well.

At my parents place in MS about an hour and a half from the gulf. Heavy on rain so far this year. Last year they got less than 2" of rain in the second half of the year which is very low when they average about 60" of rain a year. Also was very hot then, up to 107F one day which is way above normal high.
Rained nearly every day pretty heavy the last couple of months. Got 3" of rain today and power outage for a few hours. My sister outside Baton Rouge got heavy hail a couple of days ago and several inches of rain. The rain here today dropped it from 88F to 70F quickly at least.

Rain has been goin since yesterday more on then off, few inches so far, but its turned everything from brown to green so its finally looking right down here. So happy with this atm.

Yeah we definitely need the rain. Everything has been bone dry here too. Looks like it's going to rain straight through the weekend. Be nice time to sit out on our lanai and do some reading while the rain comes down.
