We had strong wind today. Watched it slowly peel away a neighbor's roof.

The power blinked alot then went out several hours. I think they probably just turned it off to avoid starting any fires (the blinking was probably lines blowing together).

My mum's tv antenna on the roof was a mangled ball of bent alum and cheap plastic :emoji_laughing:

I managed to bend it back into shape somewhat.

My parents live 20 miles from Tylertown, MS where a tornado killed 3 people yesterday. They live off the highway that goes through where my parents live, through Tylertown and onto Hattiesburg. I was at my parents place. Got 3" of rain and a thunderstorm but nothing out of the ordinary. I slept through it.

Nothing much there other than a few odds and ends and a giant place that sells reclaimed stuff mostly old school toilets that actually flush, shower heads that shower and other assorted old stuff. It does a shitload of business.

Whole world comes apart and I slep through it. Found out there was another tornado near the same time 25 miles to the south in Kentwood, LA. Didn't know it slept through it. Also there was a small earthquake 20 miles to the north near Brookhaven, MS. Not sure when that actually was. I miss everything.

found an aussie who said its just a glitch and the weather station is right at the center.

I called them an alien collaborator.

We were under a "holy fuck, get in your basement" warning. Not a thing. I don't believe the wind exceeded 8 miles per hour. Total nothing burger. This is after Sunday's shit storm that took out thousands of trees and we had 75,000 people without power they did not predict at all, and didn't sound the tornado sirens once. Tonight they sounded them several times. But no tornadoes. Really top notch reporting.

no sirens, but a lot of phone warnings
