Fuck man, meanwhile we had to turn the AC back on. During the day it's fine if it's like 74 or 75 in here with the windows open.
But it's already too hot to sleep without AC on.

had a massive storm just miss us thursday night. everything that could go off did. had hail warnings, tornado warnings, strong wind alert, flash flood alert. not went out to look, but going by the radar it was about 1 mile south. we just got lots of thunder and lightning with tons of rain.

It's been steady since last night here. We did get a bit a couple weeks ago though. I'm just glad it isn't really heavy and making a mess of everything.
There was some pretty crazy flooding one of the years I was in Vegas, maybe '04 or '05. I remember seeing on the news a fire engine flooded out and stranded.

Got 10 inches of snow yesterday. I love it. It's 12 degrees. My pond is frozen over and my kids are coming home today for the weekend. Hockey time on lurkingdirk pond. I spent my morning removing snow from a variety of places, and then flooding the pond ice so it's nice and smooth for later.

It's fucking bullshit.
I had planned to go get some fertilizer for the lawn yesterday and turn the well pump back on for our irrigation system. But nope, it'll be close enough to freezing that I'm not fucking with it until late next week. Shit, our zoysia has started to green up, but now it'll probably die off again.

1st pic is about +15' above normal. less than 2 hours between pics, rain currently stopped, but supposed to start again soon, calling for another 2" or so. gotten a couple of wireless flood warnings, apparently under a no travel mandate, unless ordered to evac.
it will crest the other bank around 21-22', my bank is about 2' higher, plus another 2' grade to the house.
