If you're trying to imply running 5 miles 3-4 times a week is unhealthy you're really stretching. Could it cause knee or ligament damage? Of course, so could almost any type of exercise. It was just an example. Forget marathon runners then and just use "runners" in general. Most runners I know do between 3 and 6 miles 3-4 times per week (some do more than that). How did it sound bro-ish?
Really? Because 20 years ago people were saying shit like "Not eating fat is good for you, I know that because I'm not retarded". I'm glad you think you know everything about fitness but science turns a lot of opinions upside down. It's happened all throughout history. Thanks for the snideness though. If you're trying to imply running 5 miles 3-4 times a week is unhealthy you're really stretching. Could it cause knee or ligament damage? Are you asking if it's healthier to sprint short bursts? I don't know that, but my guess is (based on me not bring retarded) that they're BOTH healthy and good for you, especially compared to not doing any exercise.
Bonus knowledge: mix it up and do both.
But do lions even lift?Case in point: lions and tigers. They lounge and sleep for 16hours a day, sprint for 3minutes to catch a gazelle, and are fit as fuck. Or die. I wonder what % body fat lions are.
I did nothing but eat burritos and drink like a fifth a night while I was back home, plus I went to a wedding with an open bar.Even 5 lbs in three weeks is impressive. You're overeating by almost 1k calories a day.
Food doesn't get you drunk bro. And I love booze (good beer and scotch particularly), so to me it's just as delicious and far more fulfilling to drink. I wish I never started, I'd probably be in amazing shape. Instead I've got a soft middle section and am about 20lbs overweight right now.You all are crazy. I'd much rather eat thousands of calories than drink them. It's so much more delicious and fulfilling to eat them. When I go to the bar it's not the drinks that do me in, it's the double order of grande Nachos with extra guac and sour cream.
Same here, if I didn't drink, if probably have close to.a six pack and about ten ish lbs lighter but I've got a weakness for the sauce.Food doesn't get you drunk bro. I'm 6 foot 1 and as of the beginning of November I was 197 pounds. Over the last year and a half I cut from 260+ down to 185. I did some bulking in July/August/September and got up to about 205 doing Stronglifts 5x5. I'm cutting back down to 185 now.McCheese, I gotta ask. How tall are you and how much do you weigh? I don't ask to be a dick or a jerk but I am genuinely curious.
Not speaking from any type of experience here, but that sounds like diabetic shock. If you've never felt almost drunk off of food then you haven't ever eaten enough. There's nothing quite like gorging on carbs and sugar and getting that wonderfully hazy, groggy feeling and then collapsing onto your bed and blacking out for the best 15 hours of sleep you've ever had. I like drinking, don't get me wrong, but I'll take a carb coma to being drunk any day of the week! Plus, there's no hangover!
Well I was mostly joking. I meant something more similar to the feeling you get after finishing Thanksgiving dinner: content, full, and tired. Not speaking from any type of experience here, but that sounds like diabetic shock.
