Yes, only listen to people that have used it! From that first link:

Sounds like he could use some more accurate calipers.

Those before/after aren't really your strong suit since at least half of them have cell phone selfie befores and professional afters. Meaning the author cherry picked them.

But either way, I don't give a shit about the before/after. No one is saying you can't get results with your convenient plan. They're saying you shouldn't have to pay for what's basically common knowledge.

.
Part of the book is a section on preparing for a professional "after" shot so this is not really a surprise. In fact the whole raison d'etre of the book is to go to cover model condition in 12 weeks, how about you actually read it before trying to pass judgement?

Because I don't need to. The more information you give me just further proves my assumption. If this was a fair comparison, the befores would be shot professionally as well. It's the same "why is she only smiling after?" bullshit. Don't recommend a weight loss book that has to play on someone's ego.

can't be arsed to continue this, why else would people buy a weightlifting book if not to improve the way they look and the way they feel about themselves lol.

As for paying for what's common knowledge, there's so much debate and argument over what works and what doesn't. Why spend ages going online to assess various workout guides and diet when one proven book is all you need.

I don't think anyone in the thread has once asked for advice on how to look ripped for a professional photo shoot. Look ripped all the time, sure. Who the fuck cares about a chapter dedicated to that bullshit?

Edit: Brb, writing book on 6 hour photoshop diet.

I've decided instead of going and getting a gym membership, just to get a bench and a bunch of free weights instead. The only workouts I need are squats/deadlifts and a gym membership seems awful. Good idea or bad idea?

Going to be splitting the cost with the roommate too since he wants to work on his upper body for some training he's doing.

If your living space supports a work out area and you just want a squat rack, a treadmill and some free weights I'd definitely go that route.

If you're actually building a home gym, get yourself some rubber flooring for horse stables.

I want to say it'sthiskind, but if you google around you can probably find which ones are best for home gyms.

Yeah, we have a two car garage and only two cars which are parked in the driveway so it's all open. Treadmill is unnecessary due to my training is bicycling related so I get plenty of cardio/warm up.

I'm sure everyone feels fucking great during a starvation/dehydration cut to make themselves look super buff for 15 minutes... You know, right before the IV goes in.

I would say bad idea, but that is just me. The ritual of preparing for and going to the gym is something that drives me to continue. Plus I have kids so I need someone to watch the little fuckers. I also derive motivation and advice/input from the people around me at the gym.

I'm similar in that I find getting dressed and going to the gym helps motivate me to work out. Plus the gym environment spurs me to pushing out that last, tough rep. I know if I worked out at home I wouldn't put in nearly as much effort during the workouts, and I'd blow them off more often as well. That said, for someone who is intrinsically motivated and disciplined (and if you have the space) a squat rack and barbells at home would be amazeballs.

wendy's!

A coworker of mine said he's gotten food poisoning from that exact wendys twice. You never really know for sure what gave you that food poisoning, it could just be some shit that flew into my burger in my car rather than being at wendys but I'll still blame them.

Should have frozen!
