There are lots of good articles and weight loss/workout plans for free on bodybuilding.com. If you seek information on the forums just be aware that you'll be wading into a scary mixture of good scientific advice and broscience from the best brofessors on the planet.

Ignore most of the stuff pushing supplements as well.

Seriously? Don't do that shit. There's absolutely no reason to pay for a workout routine or diet advice. There's more than enough information available for free on the internet.
The kindle version is like ?3

Some supplements are good though Burnesto. I use creatine HCL, vitamins and fish oil. Everything else is fruits and veggies, good quality meats, and some small amounts of grains and alcohol. I've been on this for 6 weeks now and am burning fat pretty well by weight training 2-3 days a week consuming 2100-2300 calories.

Hmmm... maybe I should just buy some horse steroids... j/k

But thanks for the info. I'm going to buy a month's subscription to the local gym prolly next week and also buy an hour's worth of instructions on how to use all the gizmos there from a PI. I'm thinking of keeping a journal of my progress (private, not on this forum) but I'll still keep you updated. I appreciate the help. Especially with pointing out that jogging was way off from what I wanted.

honestly I cant recommend 12wp enough, don't listen to people that have never even picked up a copy.

Here are some of the results from people that followed it12 Week Body Plan Transformations | CarlGottlieb.com

And this is the guy that wrote itFitness Advice From Londons Best Personal Trainerwho owns these gymsPersonal Trainer London, Mayfair The City | Online Personal Training -

Writing it off as just another workout program or diet guide is doing it a disservice. I could easily summarise the nutritional info but that's not the same as having what to eat and when to eat it fully laid out and explained for you

Been doing the DDP Yoga.. It's the shit if anyone has thought about trying Yoga. It's more of a sport yoga I guess but I dig it. On my 3rd week and I can already tell I'm more flexible. Like anything else tho.. Without good nutrition you're not going to lose much.

The gizmos aren't really worth your time. You should learn how to use barbells, they are probably the most versatile and effective single piece of training equipment in existence. I recommend picking up a copy of Starting Strength to anyone that is in the first stages of learning how to exercise.

Saw this on the misc, although I guess it's probably from /fit/ originally. Only 19 more days until the gym goes to shit!

The skateboard on the wall actually seems like a pretty good leg exercise!

Another one I just found: Constantly puking is SICK for an abdominal workout. Got a huge pump even though I think I should go to the hospital and a get a stomach pump...

Thanks again Chaos..

As far as what to use to workout with? I dunno.. Best shape I was ever in was when I did nothing but the total gym, pushups and situps and walked lol.. I say do what you like but do something.
