This is absolutely the way to go. Listen to your body. There's weeks I don't take any days off at all because I just feel great. Other times I'll take a day or two off. I don't know when I'll take an entire week off, hopefully not anytime soon.Whenever my body tells me to stop because it needs a break.
Last year I think I went like 7 or 8 months without taking a break. I also made my best gains during that timeframe.
I took a week off around the beginning of July and I'm about to take another because my calf, shoulder, and forearm all have varying degrees of tendonitis or muscle aches that I'd like to heal up. So it just depends.

Used it for the first time yesterday. I stayed up later than I normally do, but that is due to just starting Suits and the "one more episode" disease. I felt like I could have fallen asleep when I normally do. Once I did go to bed I was out in a few minutes. Time reference: I drank is just before 5 pm, went to bed at 11 pm with no problems.Just looked into that stuff and it's got real good reviews. I have only taken it one day so it is hard to know how much is my body was feeling good, the powder, or a placebo effect. But, it did feel like my body did not get as sore as fast. Definitely went from, "ugh please not leg day," to "FUCK YEAH!!! LEG DAY MOTHERFUCKERS!" I ripped through squats, leg press, and quad extensions really fast and felt great. Then I hit deadlifts. It was weird, I had plenty of energy and my body felt good but I could tell it was also about to give out. It is hard to describe, it was like I was rested and worn out at the same time.
