Looks like my stall broke. Four days counting calories and I'm down another ten pounds.

It's depressing how easy this shit is if you know what you're doing.

It's depressing how easy this shit is if you're severely obese.
Fixed that. Not a knock on you, but you should know that it will slow down and get harder the closer you get to being a normal body weight for your height.

I was getting measured for a suit last night and the tailor measured me as a 34 waist. However, in order to get the pants to comfortably fit my ginormous quads we had to go up to a 38 inch waist and take it in.

Meh..it's not unlikely that that happened. What is unlikely is that it continues. 90% of that 10lbs is probably water/waste weight. If he's actually being diligent about his diet, you could see that kind of weight shift in that time frame.

Just speaking from personal experience, I went from 200 to 191 in the span of a week. Did it by cleaning up my diet (cut carbs and ate less cals) and working out 4-5 times. After that first week, weight loss was .5-1lb per week.

Being 5'10, when I weighed 225 I was dropping close to 2-3lbs per week after a diet change. Now that I am at 185, It's about 1lb a week. Just have to be consistent and know that the weight will come off.

I wish I didn't still have the body of 450 lbs. me. I feel like I'm being mocked by my own moobs. They're a reminder of what I was, and they won't go away, making me feel like all the progress I've made has been for nought.

Most of this country is slowly killing themselves with ignorance and apathy. It wouldn't take much effort for every obese person in this country to live healthy.
Gotcha, and agreed. I thought you meant from personal level, not a societal one. The problem is that most fatties don't realize that it wasn't the cake they ate last week that made them fat, it's the cake they've been eating their entire goddamn lives that's made them fat, and it will take years for many of them to get back down to a reasonable weight if they only make incremental changes to their lifestyle. No it doesn't take a lot of effort to make some minor changes that will slowly reverse their weight gain, but it will take time. Or if they want to do it quickly, then it will take a lot of effort.

But yeah, I just facepalm every time I hear a fatty saying "I can't lose weight, it's my metabolism."

Been soda-free for a month and decided to start going to the real gym instead of my home gym. Taking my brother-in-law along at his mother's request because all he does is eat junk food all day and play video games. He was able to mostly keep up with me lifting except on chest. He could only bench 65 pounds... he's a swimmer at the college level, so that surprised me that that was his max.

Gonna weight in officially tonight and go from there.

I'm going to be cutting until I'm way down in bf. Not sure what I'm at now, but at 225lbs 6'3" I'm sure it's higher than most. I'll also post a pic later, for reference. Sans-underpants if anyone wants that.

I've always been a gigantic pussy when it comes to the bench press. I can probably squat 200+ pounds, and would struggle benching 75.

My first week in the gym I think I benched 55 or 65.

Within 6 weeks I could do 135. It just takes time to develop.

This was after I had been in the Army for 6 years. You'd think after all the pushups, dips, rope climbs, and other retarded crap you do in the military I'd have been better off.

Yeah he is having a hard time balancing the bar, he's never done any weight lifting before. I attribute it to the fact that his arms aren't able to balance the bar and other stuff. I think in a month he'll be benching more than me anyways.. he's 20 years old, about 5'10" 170-180 (I don't know). He's still got that Testosterone going overdrive. I'd need to take steroids to keep up.

Squats will be fun, he has massive legs from swimming.
