Interesting. Beans make me shit. I think I have IBS.
Beans make you shit because you can't digest the ogilosacchirides found in beans. But the bacteria in your intestines can. Well, they make you fart technically, but I could see that speeding up the shitting process too.

10" American sub on white (ham salami veggies mayo), 2 small pastries (sugar is the devil), a steambag of frozen broccoli, 2 protein shakes. Multivitamin, creatine. Only feel a little hungry. Today was a good day.

I am working really really damned hard to get my body into the shape where I can actually have a shirtless tinder pic and not feel ashamed.

2 years of slow progress

Next week I'll finally be starting to bulk. Should have done it ages ago but I've always been obsessed with getting to single digit body fat levels, but I don't think I can lose any more weight without looking scrawny and I think adding some muscle will have a greater positive effect on appearance than losing more weight.

I have also come to the conclusion that eating at a deficit to drop to the single digits requires too much sacrifice and discipline to be futile unless you're training for competitions. Part of the reason why I haven't started bulking yet is because I'll follow a strict diet for 4-5 weeks, then get bored of turning down invites and social events, have a heavy night and then bad food the next day and then push back the bulking another week. If I don't say enough is enough and start then I'll probably never start lol.

Also, I'd say at my leanest I was 8-9% and I only held that "look" for a few days at the most - it seemed that just looking at a plate of food was enough to make me put on more weight

I went in a couple of weeks ago for more blood work to make sure I wasn't going to die soon, got the results yesterday. Cholesterol is still considered high, but I have about a 10-15% improvement in bad cholesterol and 45% improvement in good cholesterol. My cholesterol ratio (Total:HDL) is down to 5:1 rather than around 8:1 so I am moving in the right direction. All in all a positive sign, it definitely made my wife feel better.

Weight loss still continuing at a steady pace. Right now it is just a science and I haven't been doing anything interesting. Dropping 1.25 - 1.75 lbs/week still, 186 overall. Three more pounds until the 100 lost mark. Due to being largely overweight my skin hangs weird so I am starting to see definition more towards the top of the abs even though I have my weird stomach pouch. Not a lot mind you, but rib cage / muscle line and little valley between top two are present in the AM.

One of my boxing buddies is going to try some 'testosterone increasing' / 'cortisol reducing' supplements, nonsense, just to see if he notices a difference. I went in on it with him cause why not. Worst case I am out $50, best case I lose a little extra weight. Trying out D-POL and Lecheek AD-3 PCT. I figure with as static and consistent as my diet has been I have a good baseline to see if it helps.

Im about to start my first bulk too. Ending my weight loss journey from 230 to 150. I really wanted to get into single digit bodyfats too but whatevs. My gyms hand held thing has me at 12% @ 155. Im taking a break from lifting and just grinding out cardio 5x a week till 150 then BULK TILL NEW YEARS so stoked

How tall are you?

I wouldn't drop the lifting, I wouldn't want to risk losing any muscle. Throw in a few sessions of HIIT alongside and that last 5lbs should fly off

Are those handheld shits accurate at all?

I find it hard to believe my abs are showing at 16% but I suppose it's possible.

Eh, no not really. They wont give you exact info and can be off by quite a bit so far as the bf% goes. They can tell you if you're heading in the right direction though when used over several weeks, but so can taking a photo in that same stretch of time.

Aaaaaaand I stalled for a month. Looks like I was wrong about it being only about carbs.

Time to start doing low carb with counting calories.

My deadlift is shit. I'm past BW on bench, 1.5 with squat, and not even 1.5 on deadlift.

So fucking frustrating.

Probo not, but I check like once a month and the number keeps getting lower!

This happened to me 5 or 6 months back. For a while you feel you can eat anything as long as there are no carbs, and it works so well. Then you have to pay attention again. At least you still feel full.

Yeah. I allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted even if I wasn't hungry. Always low carb. I over ate just about every day for almost fifteen months and this is the first time I didn't lose weight doing that.

Time to track calories.

Hmm, you're 1 inch shorter than me and I've decided to bulk at 163lbs, any lower than 158-160 and I think I'd look like Skeletor. Whats your physique like now?

My mountain biking was gnarly as hell last Tuesday and took a lot more out of me than I was expecting. I skipped working out until Friday, and on that day I bailed after 20 minutes of legs cause I just wasn't feeling it. Ended up eating pretty poorly most of last week after the ride, though not super bad. Just not up to the caliber I've maintained the past 6 months (had 2 pastrami sandwiches on sourdough, and a BBQ tritip sandwich, etc.). I felt a bit ill Saturday morning, so my friend and I skipped our usual biking that day, and I didn't work out Sunday. Today rolled around and I still wasn't feeling it at all, so I started getting seriously worried that I had lost my drive and was about to fall off the wagon. Towards the end of the work day I took about 15 minutes to go over the goals I set, why I'm exercising and eating right, and reviewed how much progress I've made since I started. Blasted out the best workout I've had in a couple weeks.

It's crazy how much different two people of the same height can look at a similar weight. At 160 I'm pretty shredded and have a friend about my size but a little higher bf who's 145-150

It's about calories in versus calories out, it's not easy. The hardest thing to control is calories in... I've been doing 2 protein shakes a day (500ish calories) and 1 decently large meal (about 1000, maybe something like a footlong sub), 1 tiny snack (something 200ish)... and that's pretty much been an every day thing for an entire month... It's sooo different than how I used to be with actually eating meals ... just because it was a habit to eat breakfast lunch and dinner.
