Incline is not "safe" for your shoulders wtf. It recruits the delt more than flat. If you want to focus on your tits, just do decline or dumbbells.

And if you don't pause press you're a stupid bitch and I don't care how much you "bench press."

I think he was saying that bars are safer than free weights for your shoulders and just happened to mention incline, which is true because when you fail with a bar it just lands on your chest (which is worse for you overall but we're talking about shoulders here) and shoulder damage is mitigated whereas with dumbells if you hang on too long you can completely tear your shoulder apart on failure.

Ahh, perhaps. If that's the case, then I agree. Which is why I use dumbbells personally as more of an iso movement, focusing on the contraction of my tiny chesticles with a less intense weight (using 80s after benching instead of going ham and using 100/110s, for example).

I just go back and forth between bar and dumbbells depending on what is available and ask people for a spot in my later sets when I am close to failure. I don't train to failure on every set, so I usually know which sets I'm going to have a risk of failure on.

I'd also just drop the dumbbells rather than hold on to them if I was failing. Hope your toes aren't near

Well lots of dumbasses at LA Fitness stand really close to work out. Swear to god I've had to stop mid set to avoid hitting them with the weights they're standing so close. I'd really be concerned if I just drop them that I'd be dropping it on someone, especially after it bounces. But whatever, they shouldn't stand so close.

I've never actually gone to a big gym. I have to imagine I'd constantly be annoyed with everyone using the equipment I want.

I go to a small gym and even then it's irksome. A lot of seniors round here as I'm surrounded by retirement communities, and probably half of them use the machines wrong. They put in wi-fi a few months ago though, which is good because my bars flatline in the building and I had to keep changing up my local library to get fresh tunes.

Decided to take the plunge into "serious" supplements now, I bought a few prohormones (1-andro, 4-andro, epi-andro) from amazon along with some cycle support, anti estrogen and pct (and taurine)... going to continue lifting through the winter, and then in the springtime see what kind of results I can get from things that cost a lot more than protein powder, fish oil, and creatine.

edit: for reference this is what I look like currently as of 2 minutes ago, just after waking up, flexed

Why are you wanting to take supplements? From what you post about your workouts, your activity level isnt anywhere close to where you would want/need to be taking supplements.

I have no clue what all those supplements do (but probably fuck all if they're coming from Amazon. How good can they really be?), but you still have plenty of body fat to lose purely through diet and exercise. It seems silly to stack on supplements when you can still go really, really far without any extras.

That is one of the main reasons I work out in the morning at LA Fitness. It can be busy but at least it isn't circus levels like after 4 pm.

I hated working out so much after work that it started to drive me to quit lifting. I started waking up at 5am, which was fucking terrible at first, but after awhile it became second nature. The gym I go to is still pretty full around 5:30-6:00, but nothing like in the afternoon. At this point, as long as I get my preworkout in before I leave I'm Gucci.

On the plus side, there are tons of college girls in my gym at 5.

Yeah waking up at 5 AM for the first time is a lot like taking a dick in the ass for the first time. But you get used to it, until it becomes routine. The only downside is on weekends, I literally cannot sleep in. The latest I'll wake up is like 9 AM. It's fucking awful.

Yup. My gym doesn't open until 7 on the weekends, but I still wake up at 5 and stream something I haven't seen while I wait.
