Start off with 2600 as your maintenance figure. If you want to guarantee fast weight loss
then eat 1800 (30%) calories on a rest day and 2300 (-10%) calories on a workout day. If you lose more than 1lb a week over 3 weeks then you know 2600 is a bit low.

That was kg, not pounds (cause he's an asshole who uses metric bodyweight). 1.5-2g per kg of bodyweight is actually kind of low. That's about .7-.9g per pound.
What a douchebag. But yeah, I stick to 1g per pound. Sometimes a little over, but I don't go crazy with 1.5-2g per. That's just too much fucking meat, I've learned to really love pasta and rice medleys (wild, brown, and red).

1g per protein
.4g per fat
Fill in rest with carbs(about 220 for me).

I'm cutting with 2400cal/day.

You don't NEED to eat the way most people in this thread suggest to lose weight. This thread can be very scary for someone who just wants to lose weight and be healthier in general. The level of detail some people suggest taking your diet to is daunting. It's almost like it should be renamed "The Health Nut Thread" half the time.

If you are interested in looking like Brad Pitt a la fight club, and have to fight your genes every step of the way to get there, yea you have to get to ridiculous levels of detail.

If you just want to be healthy and have a good life things are much easier;
* Cook your own food
* Don't drink Calories (except whole milk)
* Save sweets for one day a week
* Find a sport you really enjoy and practice it with other people

It doesn't need to be much more complex than that. In fact, if you are a fat slob that eats pizza for every meal, and the only thing you did differently was start making your own pizza (including the dough), your health would likely improve is a surprisingly drastic manner quite quickly.

Hell, for some people the only real change they need to make is to stop drinking Calories (soda, juice, etc) to have an amazing affect on their health.

The fact that you're pushing whole milk makes me hate you, despite your otherwise sound advice.
Milk is good for you. Whole milk tastes better and gives you more nutrients for the same price. Drinking white water is still good for you, but it is a waste of money.

Despite anything anyone tells me. I cannot honestly believe that the milk from a 2000 lb animal, which is made to fatten up said baby animals into 2000 lb monsters, is good for a human to drink.

There is no black & white answer to this, but all evidence seems to indicate it is an extremely positive adaptation. At least until the very modern global industrial food system.

Some people only care about weight loss and reducing the numbers when they step on the scale, that's fine.

Some of us, like myself, are focused on fat loss and muscle building. Generally this requires more attention to detail then pure weight loss.

Confirmed soaks pizza rolls in milk.
I know you're joking, but whenever I eat pizza rolls I make sure to drink milk. A bag of 90 pizza rolls usually results in drinking about half a gallon of milk. So good. The flavor profiles go together very well, especially for spicy varieties of pizza rolls like the Buffalo or Jalapeno ones.

I think this is pertinent to the topic since we are in the weight loss thread and talk about being macho and strength training but why is the word pussy used to describe someone as weak and impotent? I mean... every single pussy I have ever met can take one hell of a pounding. Shit, babies get pushed through those things and they bounce back as strong as ever. Pussies are fucking resilient. So what the fuck?

It's like saying "I'm gonna sleep like a baby tonight". So you're gonna wake up every hour and a half, scream for food and shit your pants?

Are we talking quite specifically just drinking milk? Because there's a whole slew of products that use milk that I guarantee you eat or drink.


Denaut's advice, as usual, is half-good, but only if you don't like encouraging critical thinking. Notice he had to explain why drinking milk is good. Why shouldn't you drink calories? Why shouldn't you eat sweets 6 out of 7 days a week? This isn't more of your lame hepatotoxin bullshit, is it?
