My son is probably an outlier, he loves he-man, he watches the old episodes on DVD whenever he can and runs around with the sword yelling I have the power. That is one movie I would be OK with them rebooting. It pops up every once in a while but never goes anywhere.
Excalibur 1980 classic movie with patric stewart, liam nielson and helen miren. Supposedly Guy Ritchie used the original Excalibur for his new film King arthur: legend of the sword.
After my daughter was born, my mom brought over a bunch of my old books so I could read them to her. One of them was a real shitty He-Man book. She loves it, we read it all the time.
As far as Astro Boy, they did an animated movie in 2009. It wasn't bad.
Excalibur was the shit. Loved Munchausen as well. I was the only one that liked it, then again I was the only one that knew what Monty Python was as a kid. Gilliam's imaginative style sat well with me. I wouldn't want a remake.
Gremlins was a great suggestion. Surprised Hollywood hasn't mucked that up yet.
