OK. Bro why are you paying for childcare? Here that's like 1700 a month, that's essentially a second mortgage payment. If your wife isn't work she needs to take care of the kid, especially if youre struggling. Not to criticize too much but what is she doing to contribute?

I repeat has a career. Anyone making under 100K USD by 30 doesn't really have a career yet in the Boston area.
Other regions (I assume) are much cheaper.

She is contributing. I have one daughter now seeing a therapist twice a week, one in speech therapy twice a week, managing to medicate my 5 year old every day so she can function which is not easy. I don't think there is a way to manage all of these things and have a job.
We're fine really, struggling is a bad word to use, I should have found something else to say.

Not every career pays 100k+. She's is early childhood education so unless she takes up robbing banks she'll never make that.

Vinen teachers in the area don't make 100k and I'd call that a career. Most tech companies don't pay that right out of the gate either. You got lucky with where you're working.

Yeah we'll be ok. I've passed up a spot as a lead on an assessment team, which would have been awesome, mainly do to this perceived instability. Don't want to rock the boat right now.
And the etsy thing, I know you guys are super jelly, but she actually makes some decent stuff. Homemade stuff. It's just a hobby, all I want is for it to be self sustaining. I don't begrudge her that, as a stay at home mom she needs something for her and she likes it.
