So I'm sitting here working from home due to a snowstorm and I just can't get any work done. Like I've responded to 3 emails and that's it - and it's now almost noon.

Is anyone else like this? I actually hate working from home because I swear I Can't physically do it.

I know I'm lazy in general (show up to office, spend an hour browsing forums, review some code, lunch, code hard, leave), but I just can't do anything from home.

Sometimes I wonder if I would get more work done if I could work, play games, and fuck wife(she runs a home daycare) over 12 hours than I would being bored at work for 8 hours. But my resolve to get work done while at home is so little the few days I actually do it, so probably not.

Took on a part time job in Amazons distribution center to help finance some things I have going on in life right now. First time I've ever watched a video at orientation on how to survive a mass shooting.

It's barely in Fall River, on the Freetown line. Anyways, doubt there will be any muggings around an Amazon Distribution Center anyways. I'm just curious what they pay part time.

Pay is poop, but it meshes up with my current schedule really well, it starts 1 hour after my regular job and it's a 25min drive to get there so it's more convenience that sold me.

They are building a fulfillment center as well that opens in June or July, all this facility does is house temp employees of up to 12 months (crazy they have a place that large that does only that) Anyways, they will pull from that pool to go to the new place where pay will be better but again it's the hours that sold me. I get off work at 7pm and this starts at 8 and goes to 12 or 1. The job is basically paying for my daycare which frees up funds for other things I need them for.

I've heard its great as an exercise routine as well. Go work for 3 months and stop being fattie.

We aren't really struggling for money or anything, but I was thinking of something part time nights/weekends maybe just so we can save up a bit. With it being 5 minutes down the street from my house I'm thinking it might be worth checking out.

The 1st part yes, the second part, okay? Not sure where that came from but whatever.

This is how I'm looking at it really. I don't -NEED- to do it, but it's giving me wiggle room elsewhere and honestly in those hours at night anyways I'm not doing much and my son is already sleeping so I'm not missing much, may as well get paid.

The only thing is I need to find a new route home because last night I passed 6 cops in hiding and 3 people were pulled over in a 24 minute drive home. While I'm not a speeder and what not, that made me pretty nervous. The route I'll take tonight will take me like 5 min longer and won't have that issue.

Working more than 8 hours a day gets old real fast. I switched jobs back in 2011 and the contract I was on wasn't finished, so I told them I'd work off hours to help transition. It was only 3 months and it was really good pay. I was sick of it after a month.

Doesn't bother me. -shrug- When I had my small business I put in 12-15 hours a day 6 to 7 a week and it didn't bother me. Honestly it's better to keep my mind busy right now anyways so I mind even less because of that.

I work a second job doing food deliveries by bike, the pay is pretty weak since it's commission based but it's fun and usually make 50 bucks in a 3 hour shift. Usually when im working I'll eat out at a place and have a couple drinks at the end of shift so it mainly just pays for me to go out. I work about two or three days a week so I don't get burnt out.

Two of my employees wanted to friend me on PSN, I had to make some excuse as I realized they would be able to see me online on days I "worked" from home.

My assistant knows and every once in a while she gives me a "did you slay the dragon today?" jab.
My assistant is great, she has an amazing collection of snes and nes games that get shipped to our office. Me and the other gamers love to see her open the packages of her latest order. I knew we would get along when we first meet as she was telling me about how she was about to finish her loremaster wow achievement, I told her about my warglaives and we bonded.

I was battle.net friends with a guy at work and we both stayed home from work and caught each other pug raiding. Silent understanding

I find this surprising with 3 people on 90k and a 2k mortgage. 60k take home, 36k after housing, 28k after cars 24k after utils. 32 bucks per day per adult and 2 dollars for the baby.
