Signed up for XM so I could listen to the cowboy game while I traveled. After the game I stopped to scroll through all the channels and find some christmas music. I discovered vivid radio. Holy shit, porn radio! It's both funny and hot. My favorite combination! So I spent the rest of the trip switching back and forth between christmas music and porn radio. I wonder how long it'll be before I get tired of listening to the porn star bitches.

Oh and PS after listening to that channel for a few hours, I 100% believe wombat's story about dating a porn star. Apparently they DO troll tinder and bumble looking for dick.

You should totally listen to Jim and Sam on Faction Talk in the mornings. Jim Norton is the best. Basically the comedy channels are the only reason I have XM.

It's channel 103. Jim and Sam show, Covino and Rich, and Craig Ferguson all have talk shows on that channel. Some good stuff since I drive around a lot.

Took the family to the Smithsonian today. We decide to eat in one of the cafe's there. Of course its a mob of people at lunch time this time of year, but we get our food, and start looking for a table. After a couple laps of the whole damn place, I see a lady standing next to an empty table on her phone, clearly trying to hold it down while waiting for her party. (She'd been standing there for a couple minutes, and I mistakenly gave her the benefit of the doubt that her party was anywhere closeby.)

So I walk over and ask if her party was close and if we could have the table since we were all standing there with full trays. She puts the phone closer to her ear and holds up a finger as if I should wait, being obviously annoyed that I'd have the gall to ask.

So I said, "I'm sorry but we're all here and your party is not around so we are going to eat. Another table will be open by the time your party gets their food."

Her response? (middle eastern accent) "You are like Trump!" So I say "MAGA!" and sat the kids down and started to eat. She stormed off never to be seen again!

Probably no duh for most people here, but I learned there's a program to feed a video thru and it will mark certain words they say. I made a couple of videos for a company and they informed me today it was working out OK - they send the videos to someone and they mark and then edit out all the stuff I say they didn't want in the videos. They edited out me saying "The dipshits" in reference to certain workers mostly engineers in reference to some stuff I made for them to show new hires. They told me there was 3 reference, but 3 dipshits in 3 videos seemed pretty low to me. Company said they were happy and don't change the way I made them hah, but the guy I talked to said he agreed with me but wasn't good for new hires.

Old people with email. One of the clubs I'm in has a bunch of olds. They got a new emailer system and sent out a test email and asked everyone to respond to show they got it. The problem is, they exposed the group address in the from line, so every response went to the entire list. In 2 hours i had 30+ emails despite them sending another email a few minutes later asking everyone to not reply. Most responses were "got it", and we had a few indignant "take my name off this list" too. But my favorite of the bunch was "hey you might want to let everyone know to just not hit reply all"

HAHA fucker that went to everyone too. EMAIL IS MAGIC!

Got invited to give a talk to the IT department at a university I went to for a short time 29 years ago. IT - industrial technology. Subject is supposed to be on different opportunities/jobs that fall in IT outside of some well known ones. Apparently it's a series they run once a month. It's not a required attend deal, just those who are interested. The person who got them in touch with me said they had a good turn out. We'll see, I don't think I've ever given a speech, and especially not one to a gathering of more than 1/2 dozen people.

And no I'm not going to imagine people naked. Pretty sure 99.9% of the crowd will be male.

I renewed my vehicle registration online and instead of a convenience fee being added, I get an internet discount. Discount was only $1, but for as long as I can remember they've been charging me convenience fees for practically any way I tried to renew.

My septic has been backed up for like a week. I started out trying to snake it with the 20ft snake I own. Didn't get the clog. Then I rented a 75 ft snake. Still couldn't get the clog. Then I hired someone to snake the drain, he got it, but it started running slow again the next day. I got out and did some digging over the weekend and finally figured out that we have a second septic tank that neither we nor the previous owner knew about, so it hasn't been pumped in whothefuckknows how many years. Maybe never. Got the honey dipper out earlier today and when I get home I'll get to sit on my throne again. It's been a week of either shitting at work or using the awful toilet on the other side of the house where we keep the cat litter box.

It was not. Since it was on the other side of the house, the only thing feeding into it is the toilet that rarely gets used. We didn't look at it, but it should have basically been empty. Now that we know that, we'll make a point of keeping that bathroom usable instead of covered in cat litter.

Gave my talk at the college this morning in the IT (Industrial Technology) department which is manufacturing and associated support of the petro chemical and shipping industry locally. Kind of suprised at the number of females that were there. In the Q&A session one of them asked me what tips I have for a woman entering the job market. Not being a woman I didn't have anything other than learn/know your stuff and never be afraid to volunteer to get exposure to the whole thing from start to finish which help you out.

Daughter came in last night and said "Hey i checked the mail a while ago and i guess it fell under my seat and i forgot about it until just now when I was cleaning the car ... so here's some mail"

The only interesting thing was a check from my company. from 2016. Apparently they held out too much SS tax in 2015 and had to pay me back. This would be a rustle if I didn't know my company will make it right if they haven't already (who the fuck can remember from 2+ years ago).

She's been banned from touching the mailbox.
