125 a month. 500 deductible is my insurance for the Challenger.
They have been around a long time, which is a good sign, and mostly remember them them doing a lot of performance stuff, but the website says they do everything mechanical (there is also a CTS in one of their shop pictures). Although yeah, if there is a special/rare drivetrain on the V-sport, it might be better at a transmission specialty place. No, in up until the early 2020's there were two "V models".
I have the latter. If I ever retire this one I will probably pick up a full on V, and an older one. Since they have been watering down the power train options over time. Now I will say 21st Century muscle cars is highly recommended for the tweaking and upgrades in the V-sport circles. I've been debating a trip by there to see what the elective options for my car would be.
- CTS V - Supercharged Vette powertrain. Fire breathing 4 door dragon.
- CTS V-sport - A more modest Twin Turbo 3.6l engine (still drops 420 to the wheels and does a 4.2 sec 0-60, but not quite fire breathing)
Gee-zus that's cheap.125 a month. 500 deductible is my insurance for the Challenger.
Yeah, when I first had this problem I asked around a little and got three responses all from fellow CTS owners, all pointing me at Eagle Transmission up in Addison. But I was still not hating the dealership enough at that point. (To give credit, Sewell is a solid dealership on a ton of fronts, just not as much the large repair services. )They have been around a long time, which is a good sign, and mostly remember them them doing a lot of performance stuff, but the website says they do everything mechanical (there is also a CTS in one of their shop pictures). While in Addison, you could also stop by La Spiga Bakery, for some of the best bread in DFW (don't know if they still offer full loaves, or totally converted the front to a Café now though).
I hate the dealer business model and even the best case isn't going to change that. Why pay a 30%+ premium, which adds no value, if you have the resources and knowhow to find the same or better quality elsewhere? They don't have magic lifts at the dealer and they fuck over everyone involved, including the mechanics.Yeah, when I first had this problem I asked around a little and got three responses all from fellow CTS owners, all pointing me at Eagle Transmission up in Addison. Let me guess, your other consideration was a CT5?
Look you can put this to bed right now if you can show photographic proof that you didn't have over 20" wheels on your challenger. Show that asshole that you are a man of class and understand an appropriate balance is between the size of a wheel and the tire.I had no idea what a CT5 was...
Just going to ask, what stereotype?
