Yeesh, that thing is the KelTec of trucks. I don't think it's possible to have a busier design composed of non-functional, tactical-looking elements. That said, it still looks better than the Santa Cruz.

Yeah, it looks a little bit like a lego car. That's not all bad, I kind of like it. I didn't see any mention of gas mileage, would be interesting to know that. Also interested to know if they will come in a manual transmission. I certainly hope so.

Maybe in other markets. The US gets far fewer foreign makes with manuals.

Of course, few Americans want manuals, since it's much harder to surf the internet while shifting gears...

I was hoping for maverick competitors sheet sales were so strong, just in Ford fashion built poor.

Got to see what shipping would be , but it's wild. FCP euro will refund oil/filters if you follow their program and ship them back. Worth it for $40 filter, oil might be close to a wash with shipping costs.

Not sure how I can ship 8 quarts cheapest.

Shockingly close sir!

$2172

This was to fix the sound (turned out to be a differential issue). Plus my car's "100k Spa Day".
  • Rear Differential service and work
  • Transmission regular maintenance (fluid swap, etc,)
  • New Plugs, tune up
  • misc other recommended 100k maintenance
  • Replace front end bushings and front forward control arms. (Stop squeaking and tighten back up the front end)
Definitely think the plugs put a good bit of pep back in her step.

Also Hekotat Hekotat he has some 5 figure racing sim setup. It’s for actual track training which is what his son does full time, like you can break your arms on the wheel if you wreck and don’t let go. I’ll post pics when I can get over and give it a spin, provided I don’t break my arms.

That’s badass. Old farts dream job.
Aye, the kid has a good chance at a cool future I think, he’s in his early 20s. He currently drives whatever the series is before formula 1. He doesn’t have enough hours to do F1 yet, at some seat hour amount he can then try to qualify for F1. I don’t know enough about the various levels they go through to say what that series is called but I’ve checked out and sat in their formula car, pretty badass. Haven’t seen or sat in the Porsche, maybe some day.

He was telling me about some of the crazy shit you can buy for it. He said the final piece they don’t have yet are these LED strips that you stick on the monitor bezels that add in the missing pixels so there’s no screen breaks. They’re like $10k or something…wtf, there aren’t just completely bezel-free monitors that can accomplish that?

Formula 2. Follows F1 around the world and it races the same tracks (mostly) the day before. Below that is Formula 3 and the other feeder series for younger kids. Definitely not a lot of space in that world.

I pinged him and asked. Does F2000, Porsche cup, and Pro Shift. He must have been telling me about getting seat hours to move into F3. He rattles shit off and I have no idea what it means cause I don’t follow it. I do like checking out their shit tho.

Lots of hours required in specific series on specific tracks to get enough points for a Super License. Yes, that’s what they call it lol

The fov triples provide over a single monitor is staggering. 1 50" ultra wide doesn't even come close to fov.

Yeah his has three monitors, he even has some special mount so they can be at the correct angle and not have sag angle of a normal mount.

I meant aren’t there bezel free monitors where you could put three together for that effect and not need the super expensive LED strips just to hide a half inch of bezel?

They have some inserts that aren't expensive that do the same thing.

Basically these. It works well.

Kind of see them here.
