Mm hm.When you introduce yourself and they respond with, "Oh, ok"
A month after my best friend got Suddenly'd(TM) in his sleep, another guy from my gaming table disappeared today. Didn't show up for the usual game night, I called him and it went straight to voice mail. I went to his place, no answer. Called the cops, they went in to do a wellness check, got no response. Got ahold of the property manager who said he hadn't been able to get ahold of him either. They got his mom as his emergency contact, and called her out, she had the spare key. Opened up the condo and his pistol and he and his car are gone. We figured he might have went on an impromptu fishing trip and just forget to tell anyone. Parents said they'll wait 24 hours to file a missing person's report.
Couple hours later I get a call from the Washington County Sheriff - they found his car in Afton State Park. His last cell phone ping was 4am today and then it turned off. They took the sheriff truck thru there, couldn't find him before dark. They're going out in the morning with ATV's and drones.
Most likely scenario is he went out for a hike Friday morning, fell and either died, or lost his phone along the way. If he lived, fucker spent a cold night incapacitated somewhere near the river. I'm going out there as soon as the park opens in the AM to hike it until I find him. He's probably not anywhere accessible though - first nice Saturday of the year and no one hiking stumbled upon him, or was within earshot of him? Things are not looking good.
I had a 4 man gaming group 2 months ago. This is absolutely brutal.
Submit a claim, they will investigate. Tell people you know to do the same.

Try this one instead. This is an ongoing issue, the guy still has a Gofundme page up for this girl and is still trying to collect money for her nonexistent funeral. Not only did he not give her a funeral, he's also being charged with negligence for her death in criminal court as we speak. So he's profiting off of a death that he CAUSED.
I did report it to GFM, but the way they have it set up is really stupid. For example on that link you provided, you can submit a claim of fraud...if you're a donor, and they'll investigate it and process a refund to you. What about everyone else who donated, which 98% consisted of random people I've never heard of?
Also I never donated because I thought the guy was full of it from the get-go and neither did the majority of people who actually knew her. Sooooo I don't have any "grounds" to pursue action, which, from what I can tell, would just be a refund.
I'll call them and see if I can talk to an actual real person in some kind of authority. The police chief of her town already told me this isn't cool and if Gofundme has any questions they can talk to him and he'll explain everything.
So I just need to get GFM to actually DO anything. Multiple other people submitted fraud claims through the website and the page is still up.
I regret that it took me months to address this / try to call a real person over there, but I don't have the energy for this shit anymore and the guy is probably going to jail anyway.
I guess this whole thing is something that rustles my jimmies. Awful people get away with shit while good people get punished, that seems to be the way things go.
clear straight road ahead minus slow traveler in front of me. Check over my shoulder to pass, return view forward and the fuck has braked for seemingly no reason, nearly struck him.

Not to put anything else in your head, but with his gun and not telling anyone any chance he went to check out? Any pets left unattended etcNothing I can do now, and that's the worst part.
I know what needs to be done, and I gotta sit around and fucking wait. Can't sleep, and can't make sunrise come fast enough.
I'm super fucking happy that I dropped everything and went to his place today though. If I had just ignored it and figured he flaked, he'd definitely be dead by Monday.
Might still be. But he'd definitely be dead by Monday.
I've got the opposite problem here. I have a 4 way stop down the street from me and everyone is go damn passive it drives me nuts. The usual scenario is me driving up with 3 others cars already stopped and everyone is trying to wave the others through ahead of them. I usually just decide to go out of order because fuck them but inevitably someone else finally gets the courage and goes at the same time. I decided to test it once. Instead of going I put my car in part and timed it. It took 125 seconds, over 2 minutes, for the first person to finally go. I didn't wait for the last one.Actually this is probably my #1 daily source of being rustled. I've never seen so many horrible drivers as I do nowadays. A lot of people who creep along like they're in a school zone and randomly brake. Or start to go at a yield sign, then stop again. So I start to follow them, look to the side to make sure it's clear, look forward again, WHOA they're stopped again even though it's still clear and I almost bump them.
Worst thing is trying to merge, for any reason. Nobody wants to let you in. Very often if I do have room, the person behind will speed up to block me from getting over. So I drive ultra-aggressive and force my way in and then I get honked at a bunch, as if they were gonna get anywhere any faster anyway since we're all sitting there.
Actually had a bout of solid road rage the other day when I had to get over. Was no one in front or behind me, another person lined up with me in the other lane, and like 8 cars behind them / nothing in front. Guy in front was going kind of slow so they were all backed up with no room behind him. So my best shot at getting over was to get in front of the congo line. So I put my blinker on and sped up a bit to get in front and change lanes, and the guy at the front of the congo line SPED UP dramatically to where I was to keep me out of the lane. So I got pissed and sped up more (at this point this is like, dangerous) and cut over. Guy roared up onto the back bumper banging on his horn. I stuck my arm out the window and flipped him off and yelled "back the FUCK off" so loud that the guy...backed off, like way off, like dropped to 50 feet behind me and went back to holding up the congo line while I sped off on my way.
There's no reason for all this bullshit. Just have some courtesy and let people in / turn / whatever. Blocking and laying on horns and whatnot is a lot of goddamn melodrama just to inconvenience somebody.
Also people running red lights for a few seconds after they turn has gotten so bad that now when a light turns green I have to look both ways rather than zipping across like I used to. Cause every 10 or so times, one more person will barrel across after my light turns green.
Oh and the lamest of all... people blocking intersections. City traffic is reaching gridlock proportions in a lot of places with all the overcrowding, and people who pull up and block an intersection because they didn't want to catch a light... well, they make the gridlock exponentially worse. Every time a full lane is blocked from crossing an intersection for an entire light cycle because of one guy, it starts a chain reaction of that particular lane being backed-up for a while, which then creates more gridlock when they get desperate to get across and end up blocking the other lane.
When people get behind the wheel of a car it's like they lose about 30 IQ points and turn into a complete fucking dumbass.

This reminds me that me and a few other people almost had our jimmies scrambled recently. Was at a stoplight in the middle of a long (maybe 2mi), straight rural highway. Normally 65 speed limit, but drops to 55 for the light but people tend to go 75+. Light basically only there to let people in and out of a factory. Trucker coming down the doesn't notice the light or the couple of stopped cars until it's WAY too late. He manages to get onto the shoulder thank god, but blows through the intersection at speed and somehow the cross traffic managed not to be in his way. He finally got stopped maybe 3 truck/trailer lengths from the far side of the light. Me and a few other people used up a bunch of luck points that day. Also people running red lights for a few seconds after they turn has gotten so bad that now when a light turns green I have to look both ways rather than zipping across like I used to.
