Yeah I'm trying a long press solution but dozens of lines of css just to duplicate a functionality that any normal device has right out of the box.. fuckin jimmy rustles.


Very, very early in the process somebody should have said "hey you know what these devices suck for browsing the web. lets take a different direction"

Sometimes I turn my computer on and start to use it...and the mouse speed just feels ever so slightly off. I haven't changed it, it's still at the same/only setting I left it on. It just feels different and I keep overshooting with my mouse when trying to click shit by just a little. My whole world seems off balance.

Clean your mouse.

If you still have a mouseball, it collects lint and needs to be cleaned often. If it's all laser, then there is lint on the feet that touch the desk that needs to be cleaned occasionally. Just give it a good cleaning and it will feel right again.

Thumbwheel master race checking in. So technically I still have a mouseball that gets linted up almost as bad as the original style mice.

Oh I clean it religiously. Mouse is clean, laser is clean, desk is clean. It's smooth, it's just...ever so slightly more sensitive than usual. Tomorrow it will probably feel fine again. Drives me nuts.

My mouse has a sensitivity adjustment button on it, just below the scroll wheel, and at times I will accidentally click it when using the wheel without noticing and it will mess my speed all up...damn cursor just shoots across the screen until I readjust it.

Logitech g502 hero. Has dedicated sensitivity adjustment buttons on the mouse itself.

But it merely controls the sensitivity settings in the logitech mouse software. So you restart and as you first get into windows the mouse speed is all fucky because the software hasnt yet loaded and you cant use the buttons to adjust it.

You can also transfer those settings to the mouse.

As does mine, so that's what I thought his issue was too. Mine is easy to see though, only 3 settings. 3 Pixels a minute, 5000 a second, and the highest setting I can't even tell where the cursor is anymore, but that's also because ***points to milky cataract eyes***

Mine's got the button, too, but I set both of the options to the same speed for exactly this reason. It is a mystery. And of course, it feels perfectly normal today.

One of our puppies needs to be put down in a week or two due to spreading cancer. I hate it. I'm really fucking angry and can't do anything about it.

How old? It seems like if a dog lives long enough, it's just going to get cancer. I think all but one of my dogs that I had to put down was because of cancer. The one outlier was liver failure. But they were all at ripe old ages. It's one of the only bad parts of being a dog owner, and by far the worst. On the other hand, I've never had to put down a cat. They all tend to go outside and get eaten.

Don't ever bother with the cancer treatments for pets. Even if they work, they give you extra months, not years.

She’s a little over 13. We did everything we could with chemo and scans. Spared no expense thinking we would beat it and get another year or more. We ended up with an extra 3 months. Seemed to be working great until last week.
