I remember as a teenager being skeeved out by Grace Jones. She was scary as fuck too. I don't hate black girls. There are some gorgeous ones that are mostly white, but there are some actual black girls that I find attractive. Grace Jones is not one of them. But put her up against the Wicked hobgoblin, Grace doesn't look so bad anymore
The witch in Wicked isn't supposed to be ugly. Idina Menzel was the original and she's still beautiful. They just had to wokeify the role for modern audiences. If they picked Idina or one of the other pretty white women that came after her, they couldn't get nominated for an Oscar.
