I'm a purist when it comes to seafood. Chopping lobster up and turning it into a tuna salad sandwich is fucking disgusting to me.

You're raging against the lobster roll. The classic way to eat lobster, the way people in lobster fishing towns eat lobster. A dish thats been enjoyed by millions for longer than you've been alive.
You're entitled to your opinions on food of course but pretending this is some kind of purist high road while rejecting the classic preparation of lobster is kinda dumb.
Jesus fucking christ, I grew up in Nova Scotia, on the Atlantic coast, with tons of cheap/free seafood of all kinds,and I happen to be super picky about seafood. No matter how much you flail around I'm never going to like a damn fish sandwich of any kind, I haven't for 46 years.
It was an offhand comment regarding the derail on tuna fucking sandwiches and a McLobster, and you two fucking retards come in here white knighting a fucking lobster roll.

The true blue way is you pick the lobster, and roll it in a little bit of herb butter, place on a toasted roll and let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.....
I forget which that type of lobster roll comes out or what it's called, but it's definitely better than the tuna salad style.

You know what's a great New Orleans style appetizer, soften a block of cream cheese, and then mix it with a little bit of artichoke hearts, spinach, and you got your little block. Sprinkle a whole bunch of crab meat on top, and then you got to get tiger sauce, which is a real thing and it's got a very specific flavor. The stuff is wonderful, this great balance of sweet and heat, and I want to say it's out of maybe baton rouge.
Anyways little bit of fresh finely chopped green onion on top, and you always serve with Captain's wafers or Ritz crackers. Just something salty and buttery. True blue Louisiana holiday hors d'oeuvres.
Nice thing is you can substitute any type of meat like crawfish, lobster, or shrimp. Crab is still traditional and the best, and you can do claw meat no problem.
It's just something my mom used to always make every holiday and I still make it to this day.

Locals in lobster fishing towns order the classic lobster roll, made with mayo, on a hotdog bun.
It sounds silly. I know. But its the way it is. And its fucking delicious.

Oh they're both delicious. I got no problem with mayonnaise I'm like a lot of people apparently, I just know the first time I had the picked me with the drawn butter can a sandwich warm it was pretty amazing, especially for being something so simple.
