It might be the hardest game I've ever played.Ohhh man, DINO RIKI!! That was the first game I ever owned (besides mario/duckhunt). Found it randomly while waiting on line to get on my bus and I could never beat it as a kid. Wasn't till like 6 years ago I cheesed it up with save states in an emu and finally gave Riki the satisfaction he deserves.
Thanks for the nostalgia bomb!
I noticed it has a little blurb about breaking being essential when you select 200cc. They aren't kidding! I don't really like it. I can't remember ever using the brake in a Mario Kart game, as far back as the original SNES version. It just doesn't feel right.I can barely keep my kart on the track in 200cc
I still have yet to gold in any cups but I didn't feel braking was necessary ... it felt like you just had to know the map really well and start your drift really, really earlyI noticed it has a little blurb about breaking being essential when you select 200cc. I almost exclusively go with Shy Guy, too. I've gotten a couple golds on 200cc, but I find that braking makes things a lot easier. You might be right about anticipating the sliding more, and I think that works on the stock tracks, but I feel like the Animal Crossing DLC tracks were designed with 200cc/braking in mind. Those are the ones that I find myself slamming into walls and flying off the edge more than I should unless I brake.I still have yet to gold in any cups but I didn't feel braking was necessary ... it felt like you just had to know the map really well and start your drift really, really early
-edit-
But I was playing as my #1 boy Shy Guy who is a primarily handling character
Big difference between using the same IP/characters and the game being the same.They could make the same game for every console ,and totally get away with it. O wait... ;}
