For anyone looking, used Xenoblade Chronicles is on sale at Gamestop for $39.99. Metroid Trilogy, too. Kinda sucks to have to pay that for used, but it's about as good a price you can find.

You know what the wii u needs? Dolphin. Upgrade all wii games to 1080p without the headache.

The Wii U does upscale Wii games to 1080p, at least it did with Xenoblade. Still has low res textures and stuff so it doesn't look any better but the text and UI are much crisper.

For Xenoblade to look as good as it does in Dolphin on the Wii U it would need way better hardware - plus the high res texture pack that is fan made. Not going to happen.

It does? I have never played my copy on the wiii u. Dolphin however makes it look fantastic without a texture pack. I'm going to try this and see how it looks. I thought I did already and saw no difference.

I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles the other day and decided to fire it up since I have a long weekend to play only to discover that I evidently have to have a Wii controller to play this game.(?) I never owned the original Wii so maybe someone here can clarify, do I actually have to go buy a controller that Ill never use just to start this game up? Do I have to play with it too or will the Wii U gamepad take over once I get it started?

Its a Wii game so it requires the nunchuk or possibly the classic controller (which still requires the nunchuk).

You need a Wiimote/Nunchuk or a Classic Controller Pro connected to a Wiimote.

I never owned the original Wii so maybe someone here can clarify, do I actually have to go buy a controller that Ill never use just to start this game up? Do I have to play with it too or will the Wii U gamepad take over once I get it started?

You'll need a Wiimote for multiplayer games for additional players so its not a total waste.

I just got Dolphin yesterday because I wanted to try Xenoblade.

I can't get it to work right.

I use

For the settings

and tried

Wiimote to Ps3 Sixaxis Config!

for the controller.

The controller won't register at all. I use motionjoy, and it registers my Dualshock 3 in the config section of Dolphin and lets me configure it by pressing the buttons, but when I start the game, nothing. Also have no idea what the Axis Z- is supposed to be in the wii mote controller setup, nothing I click on the controller lists as Z- or +. I also tried registering it as a Gamecube controller, same thing. Nothing works past the actual config pages. Anyone have a working config file or something from Dolphin that registers a dual shock 3? An ini file I can copy perhaps?

I am all new to this emulator, so if there are older versions that work better, I wouldn't know. I just downloaded the newest one.

Anyone play the 007 for WiiU? If so, anyone try some of the 3rd party Pro controllers? Amazon has some for $12.00ish a piece and I grabbed 007 for $7.00 yesterday from Amazon.
