I will say this, this changes big time.. In the early game, when fighting normal mobs, you don't need to avoid telegraphed dmg.
Still wrong, but I wont say more to avoid NDA breaking.ya, theyve done some balace. now early game you need to avoid telegraphs and after that its stun and 2 shot the mobs.
your pretty close to shill level saying thats wrong. even all teh fanboys on the closed beta forums agree that combat is to fast at higher levels because you kill mobs to quickly. There is a legitimate reason for it granted, AMPs were just added and the mobs arnt balanced to fight against players using them. So after you get 7-8 AMPs, into the tier 2 stuff, mobs just fall over over dead. Compounded more by the fact you start getting more than 1 interupt and can easily create a MoO at the start of every fight.Still wrong, but I wont say more to avoid NDA breaking.
Can we just stop with the "shill" label? It's repulsively lazy and stupid. It's everywhere now in RR; it has a completely different meaning from "fanboy/fanboi" as well.your pretty close to shill level saying thats wrong. even all teh fanboys on the closed beta forums agree that combat is to fast at higher levels because you kill mobs to quickly. definatly applies to spellslingers and medics as well. After level 13, nothing survives through a MoO stun with a medic. They've recently adjusted telegraph damage to absolutely devastate players that stand in them. To counter balance that, they also reduced the general HP of mobs. They stated on the engineer stream that this was a balancing process and they're going to continue adjusting it. Byr is somewhat correct that 'some' classes may be able to mow down trash a lot quicker with the addition of AMPs (Really only think this counts for Espers & maybe Stalkers though).
Well, 6 months out is better than the 2-3 that D3 did. Also it's more fine-tuning (regeneration/generation/what abilities are 'free') than "OH FUCK LETS ADD A 2ND RESOURCE YOU BUILD WHILE MOVING!!!!!"Reworking core systems like that while on the home stretch sure worked out well for Diablo.
Now you're just giving them ideas, stahp!!"OH FUCK LETS ADD A 2ND RESOURCE YOU BUILD WHILE MOVING!!!!!"
My provocative explanation was totally my opinion, I explained it with facts but it's still my view of the game. About the game being more spammy or having more APM than any other game you've played, I'd rather put a concrete example (like a successful MMO, more chances most people would have played it) than no example at all. I'm not sure if not having an autoattack in a game with 11 skills in the actionbar would be more spammy than a game with 20+ skills in the actionbar. What I would say is when we're are the beginning of actually counting APM to prove whoever's right or wrong, the "game is spammy" opinion would then prove to be quite subjective. Hence the provocative tone in my explanationWildstar does not have queuing yet, or it didn't last time I played. Bondurant is sort of wrong, in his half ass explanation. The game is more spammy. There is no auto attack and you will be pressing a lot of buttons. It's not a subjective thing, the combat is meant to be more actiony than more traditional MMOs. It still has a GCD, and it isn't over the top, but Quaid is right. The APM for Wildstar is far higher than any other MMO I've played recently.
I like the game, though. The combat is entertaining, and I think it has a lot of potential. That said, I can't play this for long stretches or like others my hand actually gets tired. That should speak louder than some 'opinion' about spammyness.
