If iirc they built it from the ground up to be able to change values etc on abilties to work differently for pvp and pve. They also made it where pve raid gear wont be OP in PVP and vice versa. Kind of a wait and see. I would lean towards something will fuck up pve or pvp when it gets nerfed for balance cause that always seems to be the case sadly.

What are you talking about, Carbine (Previous employees of Blizzard) and NCSoft have never fucked up PVE or PVP.

Stalker Damage used to be heavily weighted to up-front burst. It was then pushed more towards back-end, sustained damage because of PVP complaints about "stealth class with huge burst" (no one saw that coming!)

Well I like the idea of doing arena and bg teams in this game if It ever got to that point. Come roll up on the PVE server and do some carebearing in the open world.

I'm not sure which one he's talking about exactly, but spellslingers got nerfed into garbage basically because pvp was nothing but spellslingers 2shotting each other. AMPS went through a few phases, each iteration making them increasingly +1% gooder because they couldn't find pvp balances for them. Stalkers got more sustained and less alpha out of pvp whines. And it was no harm no foul, beta is exactly the time to be tweaking that sort of thing.

But it does show that these guys aren't immune to pvp whines. I really do think thattheyhave convinced themselves they've got a shot with "e-sport". There's gonna be nerf cycles.

I used to pick RP in the hopes that I could escape the d00dz and idiot name types. I've come to the realization that nowadays the obnoxious types go there to counteract the super cyber thee and thou troopers. I'd vote for age based servers, but unfortunately many of the asswipes are 40+ guys.

Has anyone done much endgame content? I'm considering buying this as I really like the housing and cred systems, but I have zero knowledge of the game post 35.
