We just downed Phage Maw last night as well. We're 4/6 and onto Convergence Monday. Our Phage Maw kill for anyone interested:
That's the first boss of the 40 man.i guess a guild cleared the 40 man raid finally? or still more bosses?
40 Man Raiding! Enigma gets World First System Daemons! : WildStar
was interesting reading their comments, they said basically its been impossible getting 40 raiders to show up at once and out of the 40 days its taken they only had a full 40 man roster on 7 of those days. If the top raiding guild can't keep a 40 man roster together, i dunno how anyone else will.
I wonder what Carbine thinks of their design decisions and whether its been the right ones or whether they misread the demand/market. Any new MMO that doesn't launch with megaserver design is badly designed, the pros vastly outweigh the cons.
thinking about picking up the game when it goes on sale next time, or maybe its better just to resub to FF14 when it launches new classes... or swtor... or TERA... or Rift... or wow xpac... oh wait, destiny then GTA5 then AC5 then DA3 cycle starts in a month...
Or perhaps someone confused 'hardcore' for 'ridiculous artificial POP-esque backflagging time sink'.I just see it as an example of how there really isn't nearly as much interest in hardcore large group raiding as some people think. Just my two cents, though. I don't even play the game.
I think that was assuming that there would still be a great interest in WildStar by most of the people who launched and how fast they were eating the content. Once most of the casuals slugged through the regular dungeons with the hope that the game would get easier hit that Attunement phase and realized that they hadn't even barely touched on time commitments they thought they'd have to give, the jig was up. There's probably going to be another quarter of the base content with chatting with guildies and playing Rocket House Barbies for another couple of months before bolting. That's the first boss of the 40 man.
So it's been 2 and a half months and only 1 boss of the 40 man has been killed by a single guild. I remember many on this forum telling me that the 40 man would be cleared in 4-6 weeks.
And this is the part where I remind you that you, me and most of the people on this site who consider attunement 'easy' are not indicative of the typical casual player in terms of skill level in this game which is the point.Attunement isn't hard. The "hardest" part besides clearing GA is silver dungeons. They're not even impossible, just take coordination and good players. Both of which are required in raids.
Why can't it be both?Or perhaps someone confused 'hardcore' for 'ridiculous artificial POP-esque backflagging time sink'.
Nah.Carbine's mantra has been over-and-over again, "Raiding is for the top 1%". And it is. Johnny T. NoInterrupt is not going to make it there. Susie Q. Bluegear isn't either.
People feel entitled to raids because of what WoW has done. They're not. This is upper echelon. This is nerd-Valhalla. If you've not bathed in the blood of your enemies in combat to have earned your place here, you're not here.
That being said they are added more casual shit. They're adding a new dungeon next drop. The problem is no matter what is added for them they'll see content they're not capable of, for whatever reason, and they will bitch about it. Though people complain and Carbine is basically not budging this just means that the hardcores will become a smaller and smaller group. This is not necessarily a bad thing. That means there's actually going to be a group of like-minded, like-skilled people around who then can group up and do the shit they've been aiming to do for the entirety of the game.

They've made so much money off Credd from the first 2 months I think they're fine for a while~Why can't it be both?
Nah.
What'sactuallygoing to happen is the publisher is going to want a return on their investment and they will...one way or another.
