Pretty sure it depends on whether or not you own Witcher 1&2 on Steam. There is no 'release day sale' or anything like that going on.
I have hard copies! But they don't care

Already preordered it months ago so doesn't really matter.

You should be able to register those codes with GOG.com and then get the discount to preorder on their website. But you already preordered months ago so I'm really only saying this in case someone else reads this reply and is on the fence about going that route.

Physical copies of Witcher 1&2 entitle you to the digital versions on GOG, which drops the price there to $48 as well.

Edit: Bah, hodj beat me to it.

I love the Titan X SLI/i7-5960X/4K graphs, like that's somehow relevant to 99.9% of the people reading it. Wouldn't want to let people know that Hairworks on a typical system will drag performance down to console levels.

I like their stance on that and they are right, even though no one else (Publishers) say it. It just baffles me that a company that can be brutally honest about their stance on horseshit DLC add ons (For the betterment of the consumer in this case) can turn around and fuck PC gamers in the same breath on an entirely different issue.
They are gathering fame, notoriety, and the most important part...money. It happened to BioWare, Bethesda, etc. Eventually the almighty dollar always wins and gamers have voted over and over again that these decisions are OK with them. They'll bitch about it on the internet, but they still spend the money, which is all that matters.

So the game unlocks today in a couple of hours. 4pm PST time here in LA!
Yup. Steam says "ca 1 hour" now. Fairly certain it is 1 hour 50 minutes if they haven't reduced it by an hour. Supposed to be a 1am release here.

Really glad I took the next few days off work, because once I get going now, I'm pushing it to the early hours. The hype is real. Not watching any more streams of it now. Had the tutorial and first 20 or so minutes spoiled, but don't want to see anything else. Lots of sponsored casts on Twitch at the moment.

Cool, they pulled the same shit than in Witcher 2 : there are keys you can't bind / unbind.
Yeah. Grab an Xbox Wired controller and plug it in. If it's anything like playing Witcher 2 or Skyrim on a keyboard you will shoot yourself.

So running this with a titan x at 1080p with everything maxed out and the video card is pushed to the max. Its running at 60 frames but the fan is at 100%. Sounds like an airplane. I don't know what all the fuss was about because it looks amazing.

I'm running this at 2560x1440 everything maxed, and getting about 35-40 FPS. It looks gorgeous.
