GTX 970 (which came with a free copy of the game) so fairly new. I checked out the Steam forums, thanks...seems like others are having the same type of crashing behavior (tbh it's kind of a scary crash because it looks like your gpu completely shits out, monitors lose power, need to do a hard reset to get windows back, etc). Ah well, looks like I'll do some digging tomorrow while I'm at work. What generation is your video card? I think I saw something on Steam forums with someone having frequent crashes like you're experiencing. Probably that forum's moving too quick to find the thread again but at least you know you're not alone now.
have a evga gtx 970 and haven't had any issues over the past few hours of playing.GTX 970 (which came with a free copy of the game) so fairly new. They do, but I really wish the message telling me about it would fuck off. I have keyboard hotkeys bound to the DS4 touchpad to switch to Quen/Aard/Igni, and it's irritating in combat to have that message pop up all the time. The control schemes also flow seemlessly together keyboard/mouse / controller if you prefer to switch for different actions such as buying/selling inventory management.
Try input.settings in your \Documents\The Witcher 3\ directory.Anyone found a way to rebind locked and movement keybinds ? Modifying the user.ini file doesn't seem to do anything.
