See video posted above (twitch). At around the 8-9 minute mark he is fighting several bandits while explaining the dodge. Two dodges that you can use at will. One skips a few steps, no roll. Looks similar to the dodge movement from Bloodborne. Then the other, which is the jump, one roll and up. That seems somewhat similar to the dodge you have in Dragon Age Inquisition with the dodge skill you get under stealth.Not sure why they didn't at least keep that part of FCR2 alive in TW3, but from what I've seen skimming the various videos on youtube it's back to all rolling all the time. Could be something that unlocks later or with a skill though, who knows.
Seemed quite fluid as he skipped around trying to parry, then used long roll to get away when they closed around him, or to quickly close distances when trying to reach archers.
