It's supposed to be 1 every 10mn, so 144 GR/day total.
Anyone know what the cap is on the GR chest? I'd like to get some alts garrisons going next week and I'm thinking about spending a night running them all through Tanaan sequence and then parking them once garrison is unlocked. Basically wondering if you'd have 1000+ GR waiting for each if you logged them in a week later. My main is pretty constantly starved for GR and would like to avoid that fuckery on alts.

Yeah, I'd like to know/do this as well. Does the very beginning garrison also let you gain rested?

I'm already remoting into my home PC from work to do shit at 1 frame per second. Ugh.
Wish that were an option for me. Everything's blocked at work (yeah working for a trading bank, even as an IT). Last dude that used a VPN to connect to his home computer got fired within the hour.

Follower mission nonsense continues hard today. I have a single level 100 follower. I now have 6 of 10 missions at level 100 and all of the remaining are generally over 96. I need to go out and recruit some higher level followers so I have a chance at completing some of these.

Do missions actually rot or refresh at an interval?
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't stay for a week before going. At one point, you're going to have to bit the bullet and send some followers on a forlorn mission to just clear up the backlog.

I used to always pick the lowest mission I could do, so I could level my low-level followers. The end result is what you got: you tend to accumulate more and more higher level missions, because each new mission is random between highest and 90 (I used to think lowest follower, but today I got a 90 and 91, and I didn't have any follower below 93). If you always skim the lowest first, you end up with a rising average mission. That's also why I didn't purchase the reputation follower: he's 100 and my highest is 97. If I pick the 100, I'm going to get on the average two or three 98+ missions per day, and he'll be able to counter only 1 in 8 on average...

I logged in yesterday after about 48 hour break, from Sunday night to Tuesday night, and had 310 GR in my cache.

I read somewhere that it's 500.
Figured it had to be capped, this is pretty manageable though. Login alts to collect every 3 days until they're ready to level.

No idea on this, but make sure you login any 90s you plan to level put them at an inn somewhere. If they haven't been played since WoD release they won't start building rested exp until they're logged in once.

Not sure if this has been posted before or is just common knowledge but I was able to pick the herbs in my garrison today with out herbalism. It wasn't the crap little herbs either, got full fledged herbs. Haven't tried to mine on my alt that isn't a miner yet.

Yeah, you don't need either profession for picking in your own garrison.
Don't know if it's a bug (sounds like a bug), but you also get inconsistent XP for picking. I'm getting low xp (30xp) for picking blackrock ore or plants, but "full xp" for true iron (around 860xp).

I get the same thing on the ores, but I think I also get that outside of the garrison as well. I don't get why the exp difference is so large.

Definitely glad I got the Trade Post up and running. Had to power it through Herbs initially, but ore thus far afterwards. That plus a solid couple of hours with HandyNotes put me up to 1800 GR, crisis almost averted. Based on what everyone says, perhaps Lumber Mill is not for me. Will try and correct my follower fleet via the Inn again.

Had good luck during my travels last night. The Nagrand DK follower was recruited and he got an epic upgrade, sorely needed. I just need to get him a few levels so he can contribute to the full page of 100 missions I haven't quite been able to attack. Also got the Image of Archmage as a Rare with the 35% extra xp trait.

The main problem with level 100 missions is that most of them cost 15 - 25 GR to execute and they don't seem to provide GR as a reward any more, moving on to items and such. While that has great potential for gearing my alts via followers, it isn't so hot for my main. One of my alts has all the followers through the end of Shadowmoon Valley and has a good contingent of zigs for getting some 590 - 615 blue gear. I got my mage into the garrison to start collecting GR and I am going to boost my old paladin to do the same, just in case.

When you assign a follower to a building, you can no longer send them on missions? Does the level of the follower affect their bonus to the building?

I don't think so, it's also been reported here that you can assign the follower - go harvest your stuff and place work orders and then unassign the follower and send them out and you will still get all of your bonuses.

Assign the follower right before you pick up the materials. You don't need them there all the time.

Level affects the chance to get a bonus from the follower being there; quality has no effect at all. It's also not 100% at L100 despite what people say, at least not for all buildings. When it works, crafter buildings, barn (feasts), etc. give 2 mats instead of 1, mine/garden seem to give 7 instead of 5, and so on.

Edit: Basically what Vorph said.

Yes, levels determine the success chance of the follower bonus applied to the building (double work order yield) basically the idea is that lvl 100 followers ALWAYS give double w/o yield where anything below that incrementally provides a lower chance at double yield.

I believe there's a way to game the follower yield bonus and still send them on missions.

Essentially by not looting your WO's until you assign a follower. So you'd be sending them on missions until you're ready to collect work orders.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.
