Food for thought, Bandwagon Bandwagon . The danger of infrequently used surfaces becoming permanent clutter catchers is quite real.

I'm at work and didn't watch yet, but yea.....all my extra benches are always full of shit.

A few weeks ago I hung up a shit ton of wall control metal pegboards. In the hopes it'll help with clutter by putting all my tools in one spot and easier to put away. So far so good.

I want to make a charcuterie board - thinking checkerboard cubes.

Mahogany is one wood for it as I love it, what would match it nicely?

Maple is probably the standard "go to" for mahogany. It is much lighter and looks nice against the reddish color. Probably anything really, mahogany seems versatile like that. Are you doing end grain? That could limit your choices based on how dense the wood is. There's gotta be more examples of mahogany cutting boards out there than porn clips though.

Who was it that made a "jersey bar" a year or two ago? Wall mount liquor storage with a fold down table.

This thread is the only place I've seen or heard that term and I'm trying to show examples to my GF.

Murphy Bar. I did one for some friends. I’ll edit and post a picture in a few after baby lays down for a nap.

The only issue I'm aware of, from the buyers, is that the bottom left corner of the door separated a little bit. I think my panel was a little big and there wasn't quite enough room for expansion and it pushed on that spot. Probably a few things I'd do different. And I'm not a hinge / hardware expert so what you see is the extent of my ideas lol. oh there is a chain on the final version holding the door open.

Im no carpenter and I have almost no tools at home. Stole some 2x4s at work that I cut and glued together for a frame for my Hammock (Porch Swing in English?).

So far I'm 10 bucks into the project (glue, nuts and bolts) with the frame done, might add a board at the back to make it more stable.

Starting on the couch part today. Nice summer project that I can sleep on when the weather is nice.

Danish Soap finish: Old video, but new to me. Looks interesting, but never gave the soap finish much thought.

Have ordered a canvas roof so will add that next week most likely.

Just eyeballing that, I think you're going to want a brace on those top corners. I don't see anything in that structure that is going to support racking forces. Those joist hangers are going to loosen over time.

Yea will probably add something there and maybe a bar in the back as well. Followed the plans exactly but it feels it might get weaker over time.

I hate a dewalt battery orbital sander. It's hooked up to a dust collection hose that goes to a dust separator, then a shopvac. The shopvac is two prong, no ground.

Every time I sand epoxy, the sander shocks the living shit out of me every 2 or 3 seconds. I also hear it affecting the sander as the RPMs decrease a bit, then ramps back up to full speed every time it shocks me. The shock comes from the speed dial on the sander.

I got some 14g wire and attached it to a bolt in the floor, then wrapped around the outside of the dust collection hose right where it connects to the sander (with an alligator clamp to the hose clamp that holds it on). That didn't change anything, so I wired it up to the ground prong on a 3-prong plug and plugged it in to a wall outlet. That didn't change anything either.

What's the trick to discharging some of the static electricity that this fucking resin builds up? Do I need a bare wire running through the INSIDE of the hose or something?
