So, what is it with platoons? If and when I find one running, and I am selected, we all ready up and enter the queue and nothing happens. I spent like 30 minutes yesterday in a full medium platoon staring at the matching screen. Periodically the search fails, it boots us out of the queue and we ready up and search again.

The indication was that there were between 1 and 3 other medium platoons in the queue but we never matched with any of them. Repeat this story about 10 times and this is my experience with platoons.

I thought that they my be a good way to meet some people and maybe find a casual clan but so far they seem to be a waste of time.

No idea, 16k games and have never platooned.

Bummed, last night playing the bulldog 8500 spotting damage and 1500 damage in a tier 10 game and it's not a mastery badge

Ammunition Tuning
Decreases the effect of range on the penetration ability of fired rounds (ie. less pen loss over distance)

Enables the Radio Operator to always keep members of your platoon visible on your radar, regardless of distance.

Strength In Numbers
Improves major qualifications and all skills for the crews of your tank and those of nearby platoon members.

Ambush
Increases the camouflage factor of your tank and nearby platooned tanks.

Grinding Gears
Allows your driver to overcome a destroyed engine, getting enough power out of it to continue moving, albeit slowly.

Overzealous Commander
Your commander rallies the crew when your tank has less than 10% HP remaining, improving all major crew qualifications.

Pain Tolerance
Reduces chance of critical damage to crew members.

Supply Conservation
Rationing techniques give your Commander a chance to preserve a consumable item when it is used during battle.

Effective Stowage
More effective ammunition storage allows the Loader to increase your tank's maximum ammo capacity.

Firefighter
Enables the Commander to protect important equipment, reducing the chance that devices will be damaged in a fire.

Explosive Expertise
Increases the radius of explosive damage from fired rounds.

Sharp Eye
Enables the Commander to detect equipped consumables on the target tank.

Not sure what you're experiencing. I platoon almost daily with RL friends. Waiting time for a game is from 0 to 20 sec.
In the dead of the night waiting times (solo then) may run up to 1 min, but anyhting over that is extremely rare.

14? You are being generous. At least 3 people per team are highly trained baboons. Grinding through the Lorraine with random games is making me rage hard. They are the worst tanks to be in when your team can't get their head out of their asses. Opportunistic tanks don't work when the fucking team doesn't give you any opportunities to do anything but go full retard yolo or sit in the back trying to pen the front of the enemy teams heavies.

Short buses have a seating capacity of 14 + 1 driver. Coincidence? I think not.

Grinding a slow tank like the Sturer Emil is a soul breaker. Base gun is all I have, the big one is another 41k xp; a total of more than 110k xp to the Waffentrager. Normally, this would be a cinch. I could fly all over the map in my Nashorn and do damage all over the place. Half the time, the battle is 50% over by the time I get to where I'm going in my Emil. City maps are just a pain in the nuts. The tank is so slow that it's hard to get to struggling team mates in time; and those 4-5 kills that I regularly bagged in my Nashorn whittle down to 1-2. That has a big impact on a marginal team. Maps like Karelia are a cinch; roll to cover, dish out huge pain. Even then, I'm stuck to one flank on defensive mode. I could support two flanks in my Nashorn. The whole grind would be easier if they segregated players based upon their PR rating. People with 3k games and less than 2k PR bring nothing at all to their team, and makes grinding really suck.

800 avg damage in my Emil really makes me shit rusty thumbtacks.

To put that into perspective, I regularly bag 5 kills+ and 1200+ damage/game in My Marder 38T. I'm going to put the Emil line on hold for a while...until the next XP bonus weekend. I got some US TD's to play with. M8 for grins and the Jackson. Only 17k xp to the Bulldog, so I'll grind that out in an hour or two. I excel at the Jackson, but I was unbelievably SHIT with the T20...which is a good tank, but the 90 breaks it as a flanker.

Funniest part is that the Matchmaking issues are a global legacy in wargaming products. Warplanes suffered through it and playing Warships now, Matchmaker is, if anything, worse than in WoT especially due to tier power discrepancies in BB/CV steps.

Yea it's especially funny when it's just like "tier V is tier V!" when you get no ships with AAA and your enemy gets 3 carriers. GG.

Most of them were from the 13 57 to be honest. It was me vs him at the end. We were both one shots after he did the circle around the map for 5 minutes spamming gold trying to get a reset game.

I just got a triple kill with one shot tonight, first ever. Looks like your match wore off on me, to bad there's no award for it!

The guys in the game were freaking out though and the Batchat was part of the threesome killed and was from rel0 so got props there too. Also my first TG on the GC since I usually go for damage first.
