Damn, well I tried. 26% chance to win and we almost pulled it off anyway. How I didn't get an Ace tanker from that game..
The knobs come out of the woodwork on weekends and after work hours...which is a pretty obvious thing to say. I have my best games early in the morning up to about mid day.Something I've always considered to be true.. The worst thing about WoT is the WoT playerbase. F2P really attracts the worst retards. The number of times I've pushed forward at the start of the game and got in a good position early just to have half my team stay back with popcorn and watch me get rushed and die. Then they die too because you know, derp. I found that the difference between me holding a flank like a boss and me dying like a bitch is usually the enemy's willingness to take risks. Sometimes the only reason I don't get buttfucked is they haven't moved up cause its 1v5.
Or valley idiots on Lakeville. More than half the team goes valley. They get bogged down by 1 hull down heavy. Town is a landslide victory for the other team. Now the valley idiots have to turn around and try to get back out of the valley but guess what?
I'm best at scouts...60% WR on my newb ones..M5 and Chaffee. It helps to see where people are headed off to at the start of the match. It doesn't do you any good to scout for people that aren't behind you. Also...camo on everything. Many times, I've sat in a bush in my Chaffee so close to passing enemies that I could strike a match on their hulls, yet they never saw me.I've been trying to play LT a lot to try to help out in a scouting role. It seems like a lot times I get my shit shoved in if I try scout forward slightly. The mediums hang back and watch me take it. If I stay back, I feel like I am less useful in a scouting role and, about 60% of the time, my team is down 5 kills really fast.
It seems like there is a really narrow band between too pussy to help and #yolo death. My rating got up to about 2200 and then went to shit over a few play sessions.
EDIT - One more thing. It is a HUGE pain in the ass to get into a group, in the low levels at least.
You have camo paint = 5% to camo rating. Pointless on say...heavies, good on TD's and scouts and everything else.So the camo skins actually have an effect in that they help hide you from being spotted? They're not just cosmetic? Is there some way to select an appropriate skin after you know the map?
Also, I read something about camo nets but I haven't seen them yet...
2 things, scouts keep camp bonuses while moving and any scout needs to be able to passive scout at times in a match. Also, I'd say camo on an ELC AMX is pointless. Those things are that their best always moving and shooting.
16,000 games and I haven't platooned one time. At one time I had a 53% overall win rate and a 1350ish WN8. Now it's slipped a whole lot because I frankly don't give a shit. If a team is 19% to win and then they go all one way and then stop 2 grids away I don't waste my time. Other examples equally apply. Apparently the sure sign of a crap team is not only their win rate , but if you get a game with multiple spanish speak platoons at the start forget it.I'm guessing that platooning would go a long way towards getting more decent games. I has no friends QQ.
Camo is huge, like you said you keep the same bonus moving as sitting still. No reason to NOT get camo early on maybe only behind sixth sense for the commander.2 things, scouts keep camp bonuses while moving and any scout needs to be able to passive scout at times in a match.
