Edit: yeah it's all an act, one that he's got nailed down to a tee. If you grow up watching UK comedies like The Office and Alan Partridge whilst also playing MMO's it's really not hard to build a comedy identity around being an MMO awkward virgin. Source: did it myself for a number of years.

The whole sharding / layering drama on MMO-Champion / official forums is so delusional, people whining about "this is not the true vanilla experience" and conveniently forgetting about the old "9999 queue / world server crash / diaporama gameplay".

I did the Peterson personality test and it said I'm highly disagreeable, which is correct.

I refute the "heel act" comment entirely. I have different political beliefs to most of the forum, and the first time I got involved in the politics thread this was apparent, which in my view lead (and still leads) to heavy dog piling - just as to other posters with different views to the majority

It's telling that my activity here has reduced a lot but this thread is now full of people discussing me

And despite what @a_skeleton_03 says the Tuco version of Stan is one of the greatest posts on any forum every. I defy anyone to rewrite a song to be about a forum member and make it half as good as that

I know this isn't WoW, but I think they're way past that. Then again, Overwatch did add scripting and finally allow replays like a fucking fps game had in 1995 but still.
If they open up mapping to that community, that game will literally never die. Look at TF2. It's consistently top 10 most played games on steam at pretty much any given time and it's not because of valve.

Most of those armors are already earnable ingame, and half the nightelf ones are just NPC armor.

All of the orc ones are literally just the garrison mog ones you can buy mixed with quest greens

The panda ones are pretty unique though.

So yeah, watching some of that stream, he talks about how expansions should be handled in this classic, and he essentially says what ive been saying all along. Use the art assets and shit, but remake the expansions using vanilla core standards. He said that a game like this needs some set standards so it does not stray from its core values and becomes what wow is today.
