Thinking world first guilds back then are at the same level of competitiveness as the ones today is just plain stupid. The stuff method and their 1-2 competitors do nowadays to get world firsts make everyone that has ever played wow seem filthy casual. So when you talk about meta it's not some secret knowledge only your private server autists know of, it's how much effort people are willing to put in to win and unless you're doing the classic equivalent of split raids for every single class at a minimum your dudes are behind the curve. Also keep in mind they will have an army of streamer fanbois gathering materials for them.

People are taking split raids into classic already and it just sounds horrible and the opposite of fun to me when it comes to classic. We split ony runs but it was only like 30man raids even though we could've gone down to 20 realistically. That's about as far as I'm willing to take it, lol. But still only running one character.

Imagine how much Blizzard would have to pay to license their engine. Ironically, it's incredibly easy to work with and convert existing assets. It's also offensive how terrible the WOW engine is after so many revisions that even after being gutted multiple times is still a monstrous gaping asshole of half-utilized software. And actually, this video isn't even close to what the Unity engine could produce visually. This is if they toned down almost everything, with smaller textures to look as much like WOW. Seriously, I'd be pissed as a Blizz developer/artist dealing with their shit even though they've literally designed expansive tools to utilize their shitty engine.

That's literally the first thing you've said that isn't drool cup retarded.
The only gear check in 1.12 is making sure your tank isn't crushable (having a certain amount of defense), but even bears could tank Rag with shit gear after 1.12, so it's literally not even that critical. I wouldn't be surprised if folks are clearing MC with 30 level 60's in greens and blues with 10 assholes who aren't even level 60 a few days into the the release.

Not from the e-peen arguing back and forth but: I don't know how this forum is tied into Youtube, but I've been constantly having to remove any Asmongold channels from Youtubes 'recommended' algorythm. That fucker has like 10 youtube channels, Asmongold, Asmongold daily, Asmongold Streaming it goes on and on. All with the same stupid 'shocked' expression on his incel face in the thumbnail. I've never looked up WoW stuff on youtube, but now I can't get rid of this shit. Weird...
