World of Warcraft'snew item store is currently on the test server in preparation for its release with Patch 5.4. Instead of waiting until the store goes live in the game to check it out, you can get a sneak peek at the store now courtesy ofAdriaCraft.

The following video shows the store interface in action as a player opens it up to purchase an XP potion (or two or three or four). The prices are just for the test server, so it's no guarantee that it will be the same when it's pushed to live.

The item store and its contents are the subject of much speculation these days afterBlizzard posted an articleteasing pets, seesaws, and cosmetic goodies. You can check out the store preview video after the jump.

summoning stones were introduced in vanilla and they weren't responsible for what you meant, its the instant zoning into a dungeon when a group is formed via LFD (late WotLK) and LFR (late Cataclysm)
Sure they were, don't you remember what a bloodbath Blackrock mountain became around most raid times?

I don't fault them for wanting to put their store in their game client instead of just on their site. They're not going to have pop ups spamming you saying "CLICK HERE TO BUY +300% EXP FOR ONE HOUR" every 5 minutes because it's still a subscription service.

Looks like Titan will not have a sub.

This is clearly a test to see how far they can go before the general playerbase considers it a pay 2 win shitfest.

I'd rather they had made heirlooms work to 90 instead of making cash shop exp potions. Seems like they're grubbin bucks instead of what it originally seemed like, which was just garbage design.

Yeah i'd rather they do something free then make money also. While we are at it Mc Donalds should super size automatically. Alienware should offer me the best computer for the starting price. Finally, my girlfriend should be upgraded to Kate Beckinsale.

So is the race to server first level X class/race that happens with new expansions officially dead with this cash shop bullshit?

"Oh, you want this feat of strength? Buy a bunch of xp pots or fuck off."

And summoning stones were already there. They were simply absolute shit and no one bothered using them ever especially since everyone was bound in Kargath. Summoning stones basically were just a warlock summon, you had to summon 1by1 by having 3 people click the stone for a few seconds, same as warlock summoning people from the entrance of BWL or MC, but on top of that in a shitty spot(down the stairs leading to BWL/UBRS entrance, which means you still had to run through the elites and the rogues). But summoning stones were basically added at the same time as BWL, maybe even before not sure. The big difference compared to later tools is that you still had to have some people travelling to the stone to make use of it. Also not sure it worked for raids, maybe it was only for 5man. You'd use a warlock right at the entrance for raids anyway, make them use their 40 soul shards they farmed before hand so they couldn't give healthstones and soulstone the tanks without having to leave mid raid. Good times.

It's a ten year old game and no one is claiming to have evenhalfthe number of active players (let alone subscribed players). You can officially call it whatever you want; Mike Morhaim will be laughing at you all the way to the bank for years to come.

Server First achievements might be gone with 5.4 and Virtual Realms anyway, they still have yet to release their blog post about VR explaining all the details so who knows

This guy basically condones cash shops and will neg you if speak ill of them. Bet you're glad that Blizzard is going to rape the shit out of your wallet by implementing sparkly helms.
