Like any information it's best to pull from all sources and use reasonable deduction skills from your own play. Personally I've found that in order of good information it goes Discord > Icyveins > MMO Champ forums = Wowhead guides. Also learning how to understand logs helps as well.

However if you are a casual raider Icyveins probably all you need. Just remember that all the guides are written by different people. So one spec might be better then another and vice versa. It's why people have such mixed opinions about the site.

Icy veins is complete garbage for some classes, however. For example, the advice for balance isn't even accurate for any of the fights in TOS. The discord channels have the best resources, trinket priorities, etc. They also suggest simming, but you also have to look at the builds folks are using on each fight, since Sims obviously aren't going to accurately predict all encounters. And sometimes it also relies on your raid doing specific things to maximize certain class outputs. Like keeping the second bosses close enough together so that aoe taps both of them.

Never got to do Naxx in vanilla beyond a couple of the earlier fights. Was a bitch getting people attuned and player retention towards the end of things was terrible. All I remember from KT in Wrath was being bored out of my mind and pulling extra mobs to pad the meters.

I did pug M ToS and we killed the first 3 + sisters, we had 5 healers but honestly sisters wasn't as shit as I thought it would be.

I still think they did an insanely bad job at visuals on that fight though, it's such a clusterfuck of similar colors you can barely tell where some of the shit is and that's even with max settings so it's not like I'm missing particle effects or anything. I wish they would think some of these things through cause it feels like the art team didn't talk to each other on spells/the room lol

On progression i turned off projected textures on this fight just to clear out some of that bullshit. I agree completely though it's a mess of a fight visually.

Any afflic warlock have a weak aura set they can recommend for dot tracking , etc? I'm gonna download the most popular ones, but I'd be interesting in anything people recommend.

Got to 882 last night and this definitely feels like no man's land for gearing up. You need to run H NH or N TOS and good luck getting in at 880. I also still haven't got a legendary despite chaining emissaries, rares, dungeons and all LFR for two weeks.

As long as you don't die in the first 10 sec every pull, we don't care. It's cool. And don't look at it as taking stuff that others want, seriously. The cloth stuff always rots. I'd rather it go somewhere, because we sure as shit don't need the shards.

Sad but with 7.3 coming next week they were not going to step on their argus stuff with anything major given the timing of it. I would expect them to wait till blizcon for a major announce at this point. For the legion announce it went early I think because they had nothing else going on in wow nor anything that would go on until the expansion. Legion has done a better job of at least being more consistent patching wise.

But nightfallen just starts throwing rep at you after those unlocks and makes it cruise control to max. Just that dead period that hes in can eat a dick.

I haven't leveled an alt beyond 102, and that was long before the flying achievement, but really what do you need and why beyond that for flying in order to progress? What are the walls? Accessing your 3rd relic happens early on. What kind of headaches would I encounter, beyond gear, if say, I transfer my 100 disc priest?
