Pretty pumped myself. The whole warlords of draenor thing sounds god awful but I'm going to have faith they have something solid planned. I'd love to have the Burning Legion as the main antagonist again. Sargeras has been awfully quiet. Time travel though? Outside of some dungeons I don't really like the idea of an entire expansion based off time travel. Thinking about it though I wouldn't really be surprised with all the references to the bronze drakes last couple expansions.
It's the Seeds of Destruction expansion for WoW from the sound of it.

You do realize if the Horde stop the orcs from coming in the first place then most if not all of the horde wouldn't even exist. Why would they do that?
Who is to say we succeed? It is just a way of delaying the showdown with the burning legion and powering us up more.

I'm still holding out for either a future Outland or another slice of draenor or legion world being discovered. Time travel sounds exactly like an idea Blizz would nix early on for a full xpac. That said, I think we will be making sure key events in the past happen and expect a few CoT raids and five mans.

It's been 3 years or so since we were last in Outland. What evils could the legion have perpetuated since?

Sticking with no new races or classes. I also think you're gonna see some major pruning of abilities from a few classes. I also think there will be several new tech systems for storage put in place.

I will say that the storyline of MoP has been the most consistently solid of any expansion to date. The little scene with Lorewalker Cho and the Emperor after you beat Garrosh where it answers the "Why do we fight?" question was a nice way to wrap up the whole plotline.

Best way to get a weapon as a fresh 90 these days?
I could be wrong, I haven't been a fresh 90 for over a year, but I'm assuming the best way to get a weapon (higher than available in heroic dungeons) is Timeless Isle armor yourself up to 470+ ilevel and do 5.0 LFR raids. If you want extra rolls you can go to the Isle of Thunder and do the Troves of the Thunder King for Elder Charms of Good Fortune.

If you're 480+ you can do Throne of Thunder LFR (those charms are sold on timeless isle for 1000 timeless coins each).

Or buy a 502 blacksmithing weapon...not sure what they go for anymore, used to be 25k (or rather I sold 4 of them @ 25k on Turalyon alliance side)

Well here is what we do know. The Timeless Isle weekly quest which had you powering up the hourglass showed us glimpses that included Thrall and Garrosh, and eventually Garrosh's downfall with Thrall and everyone there. Then, correct me if I'm wrong, but the bronze dragonflight guy we were working with is shown standing at the corpse of one of the Cavern of Time dragons.

Could we be looking at a scenario in which some agent is trying to set in motion events in the past that would pit Grom versus Thrall, and the vision of Thrall standing with others around a fallen Garrosh would be the catalyst? Thrall and Grom's actions together were certainly key to stopping the Burning Legion during WC3...hello Mannoroth/end of blood curse.

Agree with this. We really need some way to store cosmetic / fun items, I like to carry them around but my bags are getting heavy.

At least if we go to outland we know they will resurrect Big Illidan.
I'm hoping for a crazy Illidan out for revenge against the Legion, not really a good guy but not bad either. Maybe we follow in the wake of his destruction or use him for our goals.

Also, I could see Thrall dying this expansion.

Unfortunately I'm tragically out of date with my wow lore (yes, I've read the novels) so I'm not clear on the whole Wrathion thing. I haven't done any of his quest lines but they seemed to emphasize him a lot and you can't read much about MoP without hearing/reading his fingers are in it.

Story wise this is an interesting time. I mean I lambasted MoP at announce and they did a damn good job with it.

Now that I watched the Timeless Isle vids that I never did on my own, I'm starting to buy the time travel too. Definitely looks like they're building on the aspects losing power and someone or something going after the Bronze.

I also agree on Thrall dying but I expect Varian to die also. And if I was writing, that is exactly when Sylvanas makes her move. Fuck you guys, for our dark lady.

Time to get one of them emo haircuts.

No new class or races. All of this is pre demon blood so no humans with the draenei being the main Alliance force. Garrosh goes back in time and stops his father from drinking the demons blood and Gul'dan is banished. He brings technology from the current time to reinforce the Horde. Ner'zhul uses this and rises to power once more to try and gain Garrosh's trust in the....Iron Horde. The Iron Horde forbids demon magic but it's pretty likely Gul'dan may end up summoning the Legion still even on his own. We get there via the Timewalkers. I dunno how exactly Garrosh gets to the past yet. But his escape is explained in a upcoming short story with the start being his trial. Garrosh says he regrets nothing while laughing crazily but Anduin still believes he can be redeemed. Baine wants to personally execute Garrosh and Jaina is still her raging self. Eventually it comes to that scene we see in that Timeless Isle quest with Anduin talking to Garrosh. I dunno the rest of the story yet but it's likely Anduin and Zaela help Garrosh escape. 5.5 was to be 2 scenario's showing Garrosh's escape but since they are short on time 5.5 was scrapped for the above story with maybe parts ending up in 6.0. It was also to tie into the Timeless Isle. The ORIGINAL story for the expansion was that Garrosh was banished to Outland but managed to get a artifact of Nozdormu. He used the artifact to summon the great heroes of the Horde and then 're makes' Draenor with the artifact pulling in new landmasses that just tears things up more. This was later scrapped for time travel. The Alliance start in Shadowmoon and their capital is Karabor which is similar to Terokkar now. Karabor looks like how it does in the TBC trailer with Akama but brighter. The Horde starting zone is a new zone west of Blade's Edge in the Frost Wolf Homelands where their capital is a captured Ogre stronghold city. The zone itself is a tundra. Netherstorm is Faralon but will be released in a future patch. Hellfire is a jungle where Garrosh is constructing the Dark Portal so he can invade Azeroth and 'make things right'. Zangar is a sea full of giant mushrooms. Shattrath is taken over by the Iron Horde and is a raid along with Auchindoun being a dungeon/raid. The other raids are The Blackrock Clan Citadel and a Ogre Stronghold. The first dungeon is in the Horde starting zone and is a Ogre Dungeon Cave where we rescue slaves. The zone south of Terrokkar is the capital of the Arrakoa and is where their palace is located. It's like Terokkar but has a LOT more tree houses and flying Arrakoa. Maybe they end up doing something with their Old God. There's some new tiger race as well but no details. The Iron Horde has dominated the Gronn and uses them as giant siege mounts similar to the mammoths in LotR. The 'Warlords' are all the chieftains of the old Horde with Durotan being the only good guy. Some of the main heroes of the expansion are Velen (dunno if its Velen meeting himself or just past Velen), Maarad, Vol'jin, Thrall, Durotan, and some dwarf and tauren. There's a continent southwest of Draenor which is the homeland of the Ogres.
I hope this isn't what we can expect from the next expac, not to mention Garrosh being the bad guy again

I dunno, sorta sounds cool to me in a way, but I agree on Garrosh. However, if he becomes marginalized in a future patch with Sargeras, I'm ok with it. It does feel like they're trying to make Garrosh an Arthas level villain though. Maybe trying too hard.

That expansion better add an heirlooms tab to the UI that you can access from any character, on any server, on your account. Just like the mounts/companions. That shit is years overdue.

I've lost at least 1 full cloth set, spell mail set, leather melee set and a plate set and about every single weapon/trinket there is at least once from unsubbing and rotting away in the mail or some shit.

Honest question, what are the potential next steps from WoW....is it just focus on successive expansions or will we ever see some kind of WoW 2? I mean, technically, they could go the EQ route and just make expansions for the next 10+ years and every once and while give the graphics a bit of a kick, but I am not sure.
