Not yet but infested at the topFeeling pretty good about being able to jump into Mythic+ right after the patch. Managed to get above 350 item level & almost got Exalted on Champions of Azeroth (missing 2k rep). Have they released what affixes for week 1 yet?
341 BDK here. Got lucky on a few mythic runs and loot procced to 355. Still trying for the 2h that drops off the last boss in King's rest. Playing the game casual and still keeping a decent ilvl. After several Mythic runs of seeing fuck-all I actually got two upgrades and a BoE with a socket in Tol Dagor this AM. Rocking 345 ilevel which is pretty damn good for a filthy casual hah.
I assume you full clear wqs. M0 don't reward much ap at allI'm only 338 because I'm casual scum that has touched probably 6 Mythics total (# of runs). Somehow my Heart is at 74% through level 20 in spite of that, when most people I randomly inspect are nowhere near that.
It's why I don't understand why the 325 Azerite gear requires between 18-22 to maximize the ilvl benefit.
On the plus side, had an indestructble Warforged pair of Gayeong's Gentle Step drop doing a WQ. kek
And my weekly expedition quota! 2500 adds up.I assume you full clear wqs. M0 don't reward much ap at all
I agree on the oddness of Azerite gear. Right now almost none of my gear is going to unlock its second or third ring before it gets ditched for an upgrade. It makes the system feel even more shallow than it already is.I'm only 338 because I'm casual scum that has touched probably 6 Mythics total (# of runs). They're legedaries all over again, just repackaged and slightly less annoying to obtain. They have done a terrible job of communicating what does and does not stack with respect to the Azerite powers.
This on top of what seems to be a likely plethora of different outfits necessary for different situations (single vs AE vs movement vs defense)
Blizzard game design. You can't combine two effects to get something better than the two individual parts. What you describe sounds really fun, they just can't design enough things like that to satisfy every class so they just remove it all.I was tinkering around with what I had available and thought it might be neat to combine the talent that upgrades Shadow Word Pain into Purge the Wicked which then spreads when you cast Penance on that target with the talent for Penance that makes it four ticks instead of three along with the Azerite armor that extends the duration of the dot for each tick of Penance. I put on two pieces of the armor with that modifier thinking that +4 seconds twice would be enough to keep the dot going forever and then it would also spread. I could much more quickly dot up a pack of mobs in dungeons and then never have to recast my dot.
Unfortunately the Azerite armor effect is I guess unique and does not stack with itself. Having run across that once I now have to go and figure out if any of them do and if the ones that do procs all share the same internal cooldown. While running around I was using multiples of the "proc a miniature frost bolt type thing." Now I have to track down if two does no more than one. Also the duration of each Shadow Word Pain or Purge the Wicked you have up is not extended by the one second per Penance tick. Only the target struck by Penance is. I was thinking I had assembled the pieces of the new system with the existing talents to create something new and just none of it worked.
Back to just using the general "best" traits I guess.
Do Warfronts launch this week? I'm still a bit puzzled about them especially the actual launch itself. They said Arathi Highlands starts in the hands of the Alliance and the Horde begin gathering materials etc. to prep for the attack. Does this mean the bosses and such will be active for Alliance that first week? Given that there is a 500 Azerite Power (and 150 rep) bonus for turning in each of the 9 daily quests that seems potentially a pretty big boost for Horde guilds heading into the raid opening.
