I feel like there's an algorithm in place where it looks for what heroic/mythic items you're already wearing and it gives you those same items. Seems to be the case every couple of weeks for me.

So you're telling me you want people who do not raid mythic to be able to chose which mythic piece they get every other week while loot is still being RNG'ed when you actually kill the bosses?
It's extra loot, and for most people loot of an ilevel they'll never be able to farm. Take it for what it is, free really good loot.
You're going to get some dupes but you didn't do shit for that loot, so who cares?

Yeah but once you kill the bosses you start to get 1000g with the mission yo. Pretty sweet. You'll recoup the repair costs in about six months.
Math it out: With bloods diving harder than Sony TVs, is it now equivalent gold/less work to just have an Inn for the "lucrative treasure missions"? Anyone know how much gold those add if you check up on followers at least a couple times a day? Bloods are approaching 300g and lw products that use blood actually lose money. I don't know what an average barn yield is exactly - ~3 daily, maybe? I guess that's a bit hard to top for the time involved but still, it's getting monotonous.
At this point should I just take my 350k and learn how to AH speculate for the big bucks?

Yeah, I suppose you are right. That is what looking a gift horse in the mouth looks like. Didn't really look at it from the perspective of never actually being able to acquire that gear, period.
I do followers twice a day usually, it's about 600g per character average, although I don't have any non-inn ones to compare it with. I expect this to increase quite a lot when I get more treasure hunters levelled up. Doing more than twice a day refreshes appears to have steeply diminishing returns ( most of the extra ones you get a shitty sub 100 ones with 1 follower ). This is just the gold reward though, you get quite a bit more from selling the blues and salvage fodder.
So barn is still ahead I guess, assuming you are prepared to spend the time farming. Follower mission send/retrieve takes like 2 minutes though, you can probably do at least 5 alts before your barn farming main made it to nagrand.
So I was making at least a little amount of gold with the barn and running missions, but with blood dropping to about 300g on my server its not really worth selling any more. It's a shame because I was getting my alt warrior to the point where he could solo farm the beasts for a second barn.
Is there anything I can do outside of garrisons to make money? I don't mind putting in some time but I really have no good idea what to try. I quit playing after TBC and then came back for this expansion, so I have no idea if anything is worth going back to on the old content.

Soloing the old raids - especially the Cata ones - can net you some good cash from selling epics. Firelands by itself can get you 1k+ gold from the volume of crap that drops. Or you can romp around trying to get the battle pets from old raids, but those drop rates are low and are generally not worth it unless you are trying to get transmogs/rare mounts out of somewhere and something incidentally drops into your lap.
Some old crafting goods are also pretty expensive, if you don't mind slumming around looking for goldthorn and crap. I haven't done that myself though so I am not sure if it is efficient or not.

I wish they'd get rid of this 10+ minute fight bullshit. There's nothing quite like wasting 10 minutes on a boss to wipe at 10% because your dps suddenly lost all situational awareness in the last 30 seconds.
We also apparently have trouble with shapes and how blackhands knockback circle works, so that's fun too.

Iron Maidens is really shittily designed. Let's make a fight that's 10-12 minutes long and is boring as fuck until the last 20%.
It's a cool design, but executed poorly. They could make it a lot better by nerfing the boss HP and reducing the time it takes for boats to spawn.
I wouldn't understand LFR to react quickly/appropriately to turrets, but I know it took our group a few attempts before people weren't getting insta-gibbed by them on normal.

You'd think enough people would have bitched about Garrosh that they wouldn't make 15 minute fights where shit only hits the fan at the 10+ minute mark. I mean I can see a little ramp up in difficulty at the end, but throwing in 2-3 near insta-gib mechanics after a 10 minute snorefest is just bad design.

As the tank who is on Marak the whole time and never goes to the boat, it's not really a snorefest...more like an annoyingasfuckfest having to dodge the fucking bombs the entire time and praying to christ I don't get random insta-gibbed when Sorka and Marak are down while Admiral is up on the boat. There is literally NO rhyme or reason when that happens. Just 100-0 with no warning. Heroic obviously.

Yeah I'm speaking of normal. We usually send admiral up first with no tank, then marak up (with me going up since i'm tanking marak) and then finally sorka (i stay down with marak). We never have one tank tanking both bosses.
