i just dont see how 20-40 more int, really makes up for me loosing crit and mastery on my pieces.


What are you even using mr robot for? you have to pay to find upgrades, and using BiS just tells you to get 695 gear, you cant do anything but biS unless you pay, what a fucking scam job.

I like AMR. It costs $2/mo and takes any guesswork out of min-maxing gear pieces. Granted, it was far more useful in MoP when reforging was a thing, but even now its definitely caught a handful of things that I wouldn't have recognized on my own. This being said, its by no means necessary. I probably use it more for telling me where to best spend bonus rolls than which gear to wear -- if you just go by ilvl you'll be correct 95% of the time and for the other 5% its really a trivial difference. This is just for prot warrior, no idea if other classes get insane benefits from secondaries.

Yeah according to them anyway. They have some point system for how big of an upgrade it's supposed to be. I try to go for stuff that's 100 points or better.

The hell are you talking about? You can get pretty much 100% functionality out of AMR for free. The only thing the paid tools do is cross-reference and sort multiple free lists together for the truly lazy.

Just click an equipped piece of gear in any slot and it'll give you the list of upgrades for that slot. You can change the filters for the BiS list to only show gear from specific sources, raid tiers, and ilvls. You can also get stat weights for your spec, then plug those numbers into an in-game app like Pawn to directly compare possible upgrades as you see them drop, or from the dungeon journal. Pawn doesn't work with trinkets though, unless they are stats only, no procs.

For the bonus rolls list, all it does is multiply the upgrade value of an item by the chance it will drop in a bonus roll for your class. The problem is their chance values are usually inaccurate, especially since any individual player's chances vary based on their past bonus roll luck. I usually just use my rolls on whatever the biggest upgrade was.

Ilevel is usually best because primary stat is usually much higher weighted than anything else. Even the most useless secondary stat is still useful.

Depending on classes/specs, the usefulness of a secondary stat will vary between 65% of primary (best secondaries) and 35% (worst secondaries). Given that your item has about 1.25 times its primary stats as the total of secondary stats, that means you can get as much as a 15% boost in efficiency going from worst secondary combo to best secondary combo. 15% is about 20 ilvls (if you neglect the effects of added HP from STA).

If we're talking about a full tier increase (15 ilvl), then it's always almost going to be an upgrade except in the most extreme cases (going from BiS to worst). But given the various progression paths offered by the two raids, plus warforged, plus socket (whose efficiency is immensely variable since you now have a single socket, regardless if it's a neck or chest)... you do need to check all the time if you do get an upgrade when it's only 5-10 ilvl.

Rule of thumb: if the new item has one of my two best secondaries, it's almost always an upgrade, if it has none, it's probably not unless it's warforged/socketed.

AFAIK only Survival hunters have such a severely fucked up ratio of stats where one is approaching agility and another is so far in the dumpster it almost goes negative. (75% multi vs 20% haste)

Another thing to consider is AOE vs single target. Some stats can change places. In that case, I still enchant for single target (so BM mastery, not haste. Big dick cleave is for padding your rank, not winning the fight)

For most it's just "4 piece + the higher ilevel + the right trinkets"

Just get Pawn.

Thanks im sure a few people will find this useful.

i have no clue about editing the weights and how that works, i see the menu though am i just putting in my stats from in game for example, if i have 3k int i just throw that value into the "INT" slot yeah? probably off.

ill look into pawn ty.

For Brewmasters, Mastery is worth more than Agility and Haste has a value that's very near zero.

Nah don't change the values in the 'edit weights' window. Copy those values into a new empty scale in Pawn. The default scales that come with Pawn are pretty terrible. The Mr Robot scales, on the other hand, are based on SimCraft tests, so may not be 100% accurate for your current gear, but close enough.

If you really wanna min/max your min/maxxing, go straight to the source, SimCraft. That is, if you want to change every stat weight by 0.1 every time you change a piece of gear.

I have decided that the BRF / HM cache missions just need to give out some sort of currency to purchase what you want. Items can cost various amounts, etc. My BRF / HM caches on three different characters were all slots / items I already possessed. Yay, two more weeks.

I've gotten mythic rings 3 times in a row. Great the first time, but with the legendary ring quest I obviously don't need any more of these. RNG should not be part of a 2 week cooldown.
