Having one artifact for both your hands does seem to make sense. I was wondering what was up when they said ferals get a dagger. Seems like they'll have to rework leveling content a bit though, or will cats use 2-handers while leveling, and change completely when they get the artifact. Same for survival; no quest rewards for hunters currently give a melee weapon.
It sounds like the artifact weapon is either going to be a pair of physical weapons like the frost DK or a main hand weapon and an energy projection for your off hand as they were talking about the doomhammer. Basically its you are only leveling/improving one weapon per spec.

Just the most ridiculous statement you can make.

Do you understand what a priority rotation is?

The only way for your statement to be accurate is if your abilities do a random amount of damage and use up a random amount of resources. Not a single MMO does that.
Not sure what you're talking about but the games listed in that previous quote have combat interactions that can be considered closer to street fighter than any kind of rotation kind of system.

The leveling part isn't the real concern. They have already said they won't make it too much of a pain in the ass to level an offspec. The problem is the "ilevel" and stats of the weapon is decided by something that you can "find from all the normal sources" i.e., raiding. So if it is a drop and slot system your offspec weapon will be left in the dust.

Your offhand weapon was always left in the dust, if the relics themselves have stats on them it's going to be pretty much exactly the same for weapon drops, you just won't get a new model when you upgrade anymore.

Draegan, stop talking.

GW2 is a classic example of a system that uses a rotation to deal maximum damage for sustained periods of time. You change that rotation on the fly to suit the situation, or pause it while you dodge some shit. It STILL remains a case of pushing buttons on cooldown in a specific order that never changes INSIDE that rotation. Outside the combat system, the encounter mechanics can and will dictate which buttons you will ADD to your rotation.

WoW's system is mostly priority based these days (and has been for awhile), which means, while you've got buttons to push on cooldown, sometimes there's other buttons that need to be pushed first (generated by the combat system -- not the encounter).

BnS is actually closer to SFII than all those other games you listed -- combined.

It is no more left in the dust than what currently happens. Basically once you got your relics for the current tier on the main hand you would switch your loot spec to your off spec and hunt for those just like we currently do for weapons for main spec and off spec for most classes.

You know who isn't calling wow dumbed down and easy? The people who are actually playing the game who don't suck at it and are doing the hard content.

Archimonde is not suddenly easy just because I don't have to keep serpent sting ticking.

Do you even pool resources for priority burst targets brah?

I see you over there, steady shotting that add.

Are you doing the things that win the fight or are you the guy thinking the dps meter actually tells the whole story?

I said some of those games, not all of them. Gw2 is closest to wow than any of them.

All of them have a priority rotation.

This means as long as the skill is available you use it in a set rotation. When something changes you might have a new priority but then you return back to your previous priority.

As long as games have abilities that expend resources and output damage as a result with a cool down involved you will have a rotation. What makes it more than 123411221234 is how the abilities interact with each other and how global cool downs work and secondary effects etc.

Well, I do think that the Draenei are above this but "This is not our world. If Grommash and Yrel can live in harmony, it is a better world."

it's fuckin world of WARcraft, it's in the name.(also this is an annoying time to point out that factions are stupid and let me play with alliance already as a tauren)
