Archimonde in LFR is $$ for the drama. Players have no patience. Got my legendary ring but it represents why I am afraid of the next expansion. Lets create a ring that has no glow effect unless used and then share that ability with everyone else who has a ring giving me no control of when I use it. I suppose LFR is the only time that is an issue but it still would have been nice to just have it do something else.

Do the follow up quests for the ring mean anything besides gold, if a player only does LFR? I know the ring can be upgraded but I think that is strictly normal+ raiding.
He is a bit of a meat grinder on LFR at least until people figure out what is going on. I think he is pretty overtuned at the moment though LFR dps'ers are just not that good and you should not just need to quick fail 5 times before you can even start dropping him to 40%

But little Johnny Familytime can't be bothered to raid. He has a wife and kids, a real big boy life. He doesn't have time for wittle video gamey wameys.
This describes me to a T, but I still hate the current legendary quest line and love the idea of there being some decent raid drop legendaries.

Speaking of that I need to go farm deathwing again for cluster clutch...

I'd say same, but I wouldn't even mind if it was something more like Shadowmourne instead of purely just a drop. I think they kind of fucked themselves into a corner though.

Part quest part drop would be fine too. Val'anyr anyone? That shit was hard as fuck to get and pretty damn rare. My wife got hers when ICC first came out because our guild at the time couldn't do Yogg, even with all the keepers up.

The last two legendaries have been less about prestige (the whole concept of raid prestige is dwindling anyway) and more about story. It's about a Legendary Storyline, no a Legendary Thingummy....

I hate how important it is. I have zero desire to start any new characters right now because I don't want to deal with the garrison and the ring.

Working on my 9th 100. All but 2 of them have gotten to garrison level 2 and stopped right there. As soon as I hit 100 with them, log off until next expansion. Sure, I could log on them all every 2-3 days for the garrison supplies to use on fish day but fuck that shit.

Fuck garrisons and fuck the shityard.

Edit: Fuck the po-lice.

Not to state the obvious, but the ring is only important if you plan to raid with that character. And even then, it's not required per se. It is a significant effectiveness increase, but it's by no means mandatory for normal or heroic progression.

Yeah I get that. But for me personally, Mythic raiding is the only reason I play. And in 4 months when I don't need anything else on my Warlock it would probably be fun to play another character. I was a complete detriment to the group for the two weeks most of the rest of the raid had their ring and I was still finishing (started the Warlock in the middle of BRF). It's certainly a requirement for that specific part of the game.

Dropped legendaries would be better for things like weapons or visible armor pieces but for a ring whose only external graphic happens if you are the lucky ninja in a raid who clicked on your ring before somebody else clicked on theirs the quests and random grinding is about right.

All my alts have level 3 garrison and inn, and will probably end up with 25 treasure hunters by Legion day. 30s per day for all gold+GR missions, done. No need to even go fetch the cache.

None of them ever went in a dungeon. They all took the ring quest, just to get that obnoxious wandering yellow "!" away.

Wonder if they'll make zone end bosses drop special looks for the relics.

I completed the Legendary ring last night. I yawned. It's pretty much game over for nine more month.

Confirmed Q1 for Legion? Haven't been keeping up.
The only "confirmed" timing we have is "either before, during, or after the film's release". Thanks for that Blizzard.

I do too. Someone was saying in gchat last night that the new xmog system can't come fast enough, and I had to agree. I have 3 characters with maxed out bank and void storage. Someone else asked me why...I don't really have an answer. Gives me something to do I guess? Maybe I'm a closet gay and love wow paperdoll fashion games?
Pretty Princess Dress-up is the best end game.

It is about perfect so rip away blizzard rip away. Having a second bank to store 50 billion random old raid loots I will never look at again is a silly ass way of handling transmog gear.
You have to remember that it took alotof complaining over a long time for Blizzard to finally give up on The Vision (tm) and say "Okay, fine. Here: go transmog everything to Judgement rather that looking at our shiny new tier sets". It's not really that surprising that it's taken a further couple of expansions for them to come back and take another look at it despite how wildly popular it was, and made re-running old content a much more popular thing to do.
