Yeah, I was doing those on another char for a while but just gave up for a bit. I do them when I have time but it's so rough with that drop chance. I managed to find Barons mount a few months ago after farming it since TBC, that was a fucking reward and a half and it doesn't even look as cool anymore because I play horde now lmao. Still happy about it though.

I've seen 4 invincibles drop and 3 ashes but have yet to see a single baron mount in the 300+ times I've killed him since 2004. RNG can S my D.

Fucking terrible. I finally got Lady's. I was shocked. No luck on the others yet though.
The final boss is cake at 100 at least - the adds die instantly even with my insta-cast super weak dot. If you get lucky, you can even skip that annoying phase. I can't reproduce it, but it happened once. Just a good crit I guess.
What you do is drag the boss as far away from the center as you can, she wont go into phase 2 without being in the middle. Gives you some time to burst her down while she runs back.
Edit: How is Prot pally for levelling 90-100 solo questing?

For me, it is Ultraxion. I have had it's mount drop SEVEN times. Still need Mimiron's Head, Elegon's Mount, and both of the Deathwing Mounts.

Yeah I was wondering about this, happened to me a few weeks ago where I just killed her at the right time and she never went into p2.
Gonna have to try this, sounds solid. Her pet has been selling pretty reliably for 10k-20k on my server because she's so annoying to farm, mostly because people don't know how to do the fight but being able to skip p2 makes it 1000x less annoying.
So I just got the "You're Doing it Wrong" achievement by doing the silver tank proving ground as a resto shammy. I figure doing the dps one as a tank would probably be the easiest way to do it, but I wanted to see if it could be done other ways. Has anyone here done the tank or healer ones in an interesting way? Better yet, the gold version?
I do it every week without fail now. I did the same thing where i killed her without going into p2 one week and decided to experiment to see what i did.
I've been mucking around with alts lately, and need some advice from people that play locks or spriests.
How the hell do you do targetting for multi-dotting stuff ? 'Target closest' action for tab seems to be completely broken - it won't target anything which is at the optimal range for cascade or halo, and for close stuff it will target the same 2-3 mobs out of 10 for 20 presses in a row, and half the time it won't target anything at all - like Archimonde, the guy fills half the screen at 20 yards and it still gets nothing ?!
Best I've managed so far is clicking stuff, but that's a giant pain in the ass, especially when some huge mob is in the way of a priority add that tab is ignoring, and in giant aoe situations, 90% of the health bars are pushed off the top of the screen.

I work with the knowledge that tab target works on stuff you have on the screen in your field of view, sometimes it helps if you dot a mob and can move it outside your FoV while you tab to the next, while other times I have to pull out the camera a lot and go in a bird's eye view and dot "from above", but this works if you have Tidy Plates and the Neon Theme (it also show your dots on the target above the bar). I don't know much as a warlock, but as a shadow priest, the amount of targets where I stop multidotting so much is 3 or sometimes 4, beyond that I just Cascade and do the Searing Insanity rotation.
To be noted that if I'm in LFR, I go single target and don't give a fuck, someone else will take care of AoE (go lazy priest).
Off topic: I still wonder why the Lich King doesn't kill anymore at the end of the encounter, despite still going through the whole dialogue. Also I remember how fucking cool it was the first time I killed it with my guild.

Finally fished up enough Lunarfall Carps and killed enough Lunarfall Cavedwellers to loot my Riding Turtle mount, so that's done. Took 90 attempts if anyone's interested, even though I expected tons more time spent on it because according to my addon 90 was only giving me a 35% chance of receiving it.
Now I need to finish archaeology and try to do some Nemesis stuff on my alt I do pvp with. Been integrating Horridon into my weekly routine but no luck so far, still farming him, Elegon and Deathwing every week. I got the heroic Deathwing mount and the Ultraxion one but no luck on the normal one so far. It will give me two mounts too since I'll also get the green drake from that.
I always love the pre-expansion lull because it allows me to finish a lot of things I had on the backburner, but it's funny because every expansion I catch up a bit more and I realize there will some day not be things left to do anymore because I just consume more than they put out.
I expect the new Wardrobe feature will give me plenty of repeatable content though, since knowing my OCD bullshit self I'll feel compelled to collect a bunch of armor sets and models.

I do Dragon Soul on 4 characters, and was doing Ulduar on 8 characters until I recently got Mimiron's Head after 272 attempts ;-) I'm only doing Elegon and Throne of Thunder on my main though because my other toons cannot do it yet, I'm not very well geared and cannot be bothered to actually gear up my alts. I mostly have alts because I wanted to max out all professions and be self-sufficient.You can do like me and do some of the stuff on more than one character
Once Legion hits and my toons are all 110, then I'll be able to do those old raids on all toons, and include Siege of Orgrimmar into my rotation for the mount there.
Beside that there isn't much left to do for me at the moment.
I collect :
Legendaries (have them all)
Pets (have all pets, all max level)
Mounts (trying to reach 300, am at 290)
Tabards (waiting for transmog wardrobe)
Tier armor sets (same)
Toys (233, no achiev above 200
Recipes (engineer, cook, blacksmith and scribe have 100% recipes, missing a few tailoring, jewelcrafting, enchanting and leatherworking recipes)
Music rolls (missing 3)
... basically anything that can be collected.
So I need to farm Sunwell Plateau on my alts a little more for the very rare BOP recipes for some of their professions there (but waiting for wardrobe to maximize eficiency of running Sunwell for transmogs).
The mounts I'm missing for 300 are all pains in the ass (Blazing Drake + Green Drake for free, 100K yak, 100K Alliance bike, 60K engineering mount (x2!), 50K riverbeast..). I could afford them but I'd rather save for some hard to find TCG mounts (bought 6 in this expansion thanks to the garrison gold).
I'm also missing the 4 mounts from the Pandaria world bosses (I can solo Sha, didn't try soloing Galleon or Oondasta yet, and Nalak is perma-farmed so good luck finding it solo, easy to kill though), but I'll be damned if I ever understand why Blizzard decided to make those mounts 1 in 2000 drops. At this rate you'll be lucky to get it in 10 years. Same drop rate for the Rukhmar fiery bird mount too, but there is no soloing this one for a good long while.
Did they ever mention when we can expect the 7.0 patch with all the pre-expansion mechanics such as wardrobe? I'm waiting for that thing like the second coming of Green Jesus.

The stats are going crazy high again in Legion so without a doubt you'll be able to do SOO on everything more than likely. I hate leveling alts a lot but I'm thinking of doing it just so I can run multiple raids. Plus I mean, DH is going to be broke as fuck for a few weeks and you know it, so they'll be even easier for a bit.

Yeah I wasn't an alt person, in fact I played only one toon (warrior) from vanilla until cataclysm when they made everything account-wide, because my main problem with alts was having to redo everything on another toon.. Since then I've maxed out a rogue, warlock, monk, hunter, death knight and shaman, and recently decided to finally try the other side and maxed a tauren paladin (cause I love them sunwalkers). Now I'm pretty much set on having at least one toon of every class so next will probably be druid because I like the transformations, and there are some druid-only goodies in the world to collect, but I'm also sure I'll play a demon hunter.
For Draenor I didn't do the content on more than one toon, I leveled EVERY alt with only pet master battles, which was hitting two birds with one stone (max toon + max pets, now have every pet maxed out as I said before).

This is pretty much my second character since Vanilla, played druid from then to cata, then mop-now is my paladin.
You mentioned sunwalker, I love the idea and lore around Sunwalkers, but I'm sort of sad there really is no plate at all that have a tauren/tribal feel to it. Maybe a few items at most.
