You mentioned sunwalker, I love the idea and lore around Sunwalkers, but I'm sort of sad there really is no plate at all that have a tauren/tribal feel to it. Maybe a few items at most.
rrr_img_124113.jpg

This is the transmog I went with for my Sunwalker Paladin. I chose colors that represented both the sunlight and a tribal feel to them (brown, red, and the feathers give a tribal look I think). The shoulders/helm, visor and shield all have glowing yellow lights, and the axe itself glows yellow and contains a constellation (suns). This set also matches the Sunwalker Kodo mount that is red, yellow, brown and hints of blue (like the shield). To match all this, my Sunwalker is named Aldebaran, like the brightest and largest star in the Taurus constellation.

Thanks hehe. I've been playing since beta so I suppose that has something to do with it, but I was always pretty OCD about doing my games 100% so this game is definitely up my alley about that. I don't like PvP too much so I'm kinda neglecting that aspect of things (despite all the gorgeous mounts one can get from doing it *grumble*) but other than that I'm doing most of the stuff this game has to offer.

The only exception is cutting edge raiding, because I did that for years in EQ and got tired of it eventually, too much pressure and drama that I have no wish to deal with on top of work and family/kids. So I do the raids on LFR to see the content, and then later do the runs on harder difficulties when I outgear it to do the achievs and the special phases/special encounters.

What's the max ilvl of garrison followers? Once I get them maxed, I'll tear it down for a dwarven bunker
675 and huh? You'll want an inn and bunker pretty much forever. Inn gets treasure missions, which will keep your gold and GR flowing. Bunker gets you your free weekly seal will get all your followers to 675. Barracks for +5 followers and bodyguards. Trading post for +20% rep and access to all mats. Any other building ends up being a huge loss. You might want them long enough to get all cheevos and titles and pets and mounts, but you'll end up with the main 4 ultimately. I have 11x 100 toons on ER. 6 are totally done with garrison followers and just rake in the phat lewtz. Other 5 are well on the way. I get 2-5k gold every day just logging in once to send followers out.

I disagree that you want a bunker forever. I haven't used mine on any of my alts in months. Trading post is good to exchange excess GR for draenic dust (or bags of gold if you can't be bothered to use the armory app/AH to sell it), Inn for treasure missions obviously, but everything else is based on your preference. You don't need an extra 5 followers or bodyguards. You certainly don't need a free seal (saves you 1500 apexis - not sure why you'd buy seals with any other currency) or follower ilevel upgrades once your followers are done.

The rank 1 stables letting you interact with outdoor objects while mounted is very good for undergeared/weak alts, same for the mage tower and the crit rune. Ultimately, the large buildings don't matter at all (unless you need follower ilevel upgrades). Medium buildings are pretty much Trading post and Inn for optimum gold making. I've got enchanter's huts on all my characters now because enchanting is guaranteed money, and the building upkeep is minimal when you exchange GR for dust.

I meant tear the bunker down for another building. People said once maxed, it's useless other than the free seal. Not sure what else I'd use though.

I've been mucking around with alts lately, and need some advice from people that play locks or spriests.

How the hell do you do targetting for multi-dotting stuff ? 'Target closest' action for tab seems to be completely broken - it won't target anything which is at the optimal range for cascade or halo, and for close stuff it will target the same 2-3 mobs out of 10 for 20 presses in a row, and half the time it won't target anything at all - like Archimonde, the guy fills half the screen at 20 yards and it still gets nothing ?!

Best I've managed so far is clicking stuff, but that's a giant pain in the ass, especially when some huge mob is in the way of a priority add that tab is ignoring, and in giant aoe situations, 90% of the health bars are pushed off the top of the screen.
Short version: multi-dotting sucks and is a huge pain in the ass because targeting in WoW sucks dick. But here's how I deal with:

Use "target next", not target closest. That's for just cycling what's on screen.
Use nameplates. Some like Tidy Plates (as mentioned), I use ElvUI which has something built in. Learn to point and click.
For stupid big boss fights (like Archi) - use the boss window thing. Him and the priority adds show up there. Council fights show all members there. Use that to track dots and switch between bosses.

But yes, it sucks.

I found the easiest solution to dealing with playing a class that relies heavily on dotting multiple mobs is to play a different class. Because fuck that.

For warlock specifically, Affdots still works for all specs and it's what I use as my dot tracker and then like Bruman said, just use a boss frame to switch between targets. Council fights are really the only ones where this gets crazy (3 dots + haunting spirits on 3 targets with the class trinkets decreased dot times is a lot of clicking). In other situations you maybe will be using shards to snap dots onto priority targets, but in general Aff is a purely single target spec and main target damage is what it's best at.

We're getting close to 300 attempts on mythic Archi without a kill. The most frustrated we've been with lack of progress. We end up having to rotate 3 or so DPS slots based on people's schedules and it feels like that is just like hitting the reset button every night.

We had a similar experience on Gorefiend. Felt like 3 weeks of no progression because the people who consistently fucked up got better with practice then someone would stop logging in and we'd have fresh blood fucking up.

Bought WoD, got a level 90 boost, leveled a lock to 100. Bought two boosts, boosted a Druid to 100, subsequently focused on Pathfinder achievement, then boosted a Priest to 100. Now I am more focused on Professions, much like Runnen said, trying to become self sufficient. Also, as a side goal, I have been working on getting the Salty title. Still have a lot of work to do. I have not played in over 5 years, and soooooo much as changed. All of it is for the better though. I am really impressed how the game has transformed. I will say though other than how easy it is to LFG and LFR now, the game does tend to get a little lonely at times. Most of my focus is on achievements that dont really require help, makes me miss having my wife play with me. She has no interest though at the moment.

Anyways, I am back, and am loving it so far.

The free seal lets you get your other 2 seals for 500g and 500 apexis. Garrison resources are worth almost twice as much as gold if you play the trading post and AH right, don't spend those on seals. If you pvp enough, 500 honor a week would be easy enough to get to warrant losing the free seal. Otherwise, you're giving up a FREE SEAL to pay double what you already paid for one. It's just inefficient.

It'd be different if the other buildings gave better benefits. But they simply aren't worth the gold and resources to replace a bunker, in addition to the 1000g a week tax you'd be paying to replace the free seal.

And why gold instead of apexis? Well I pay both but gold is a better deal. I make 50k gold a week by barely playing. I could do dailies like a 2nd job all week and not make nearly 50k crystals.

So what is the consensus on what large buildings and medium buildings you should have once followers are maxed?

Apexis is very self sustaining between the shipyard and follower missions. I just checked and I have 600,000 Apexis between all my characters. I will say that I don't use more than one seal on any characters (for Kaz) but my main who obviously uses three per week.

I replaced my bunker with a mage tower for the mission completion orders. That helped a ton with getting the shipyard missions done quick when it was first released. It would have less value now, but I still use the portals and like not having to wait on cache missions once they pop. I just naturally have tons and tons of apexis that take care of seals and thats even after buying the mount.

I found the solution was to use Boil Blood.

Maybe its harder for all those lesser, non-Hero, classes?

since they all go "alpha patch" with every new push does this mean the fuckers are planning on having a beta test later on as well? Will this expansion ever get released?

Still several months to go until september, plenty of time for a beta.

This. This is complete guesswork/speculation on my part butit seems historically, the transition seems to happen once the most of the main stuff is in. It's getting closer and closer with each alpha build pushed. If i remember right with some past alphas, it seemed to go from alpha to beta a build or two after the max level for the xpac was obtainable/all launch zones were open. Currently it's at 108 at still a few zones not yet open. part, but just something that I've noticed in the past with other alphas.
