Just don't play a monk healer would be my recommendation. Way too much effort to perform even adequately in higher M+ dungeons compared to other healers.

Yeah - seems a little harsh, monks aren't basement dwellers. As for race, go Orc if you intend to pvp.

Sorry to inject some truth into your casual fest carry on tho. Any class is fine if you are going to hardcore casual it, but monks suffer pretty terribly from mediocre play compared to every other class so be warned.

Khane is right about MW on mythic+ but the right legos make it doable (of course slot machine so ymmv)

I have zero problem getting into mythic +10 as a brew master at 880ilvl Palum Palum
But I don't DPS and only heal on raids.

BRez would have been down. He used Reincarnate which would have been a BRez from the druid and he would have needed his BRez for the other death :) Or is Reincarnation not good enough to make it?

Look, the guys who did this have been split raiding and all have at least 3 geared toons because that is what is required to be in their guilds. They chose the classes they chose. It makes sense to me. If it doesn't make sense to you feel free to complete that +20 and show me I'm wrong :)

Right? Like fuck that. I guess it's enjoyable for them. 4 of them are in Serenity (world 2nd Helya world 3rd Xavius) and 1 from Fat Shark (world 7th Helya world 8th Xavius) so I guess this is their life?

Sorry, 5 alts not 3. I'm not sure who finds that all fun. My guild is currently 2/7 mythic and I have fun on raid nights but couldn't imagine collapsing all that in to like 1-2 days. Holy shit.

Getting my druid geared up now. God damn it is night and fucking day tanking on my druid compared to monk. Even though I do enjoy monk playstyle more.

Bear tanking is damn near as simple as it can get. You have three abilities of which two are dot oriented, and then a smorgasbord of defensive cooldowns. And Mastery/Versatility gear is quite plentiful.

I find Mistweaver to be a very pleasant "casual" healer alt to play simply because a giant portion of the healing is in the form of channeled Soothing Mist. That steady stream of baseline healing is enough to keep most tanks healthy and is easily augmented with insta-cast HOTs. Then again I also use Jade Serpent Statue for added Soothing Mist and use the passive talent that lets you run around while channeling Soothing Mist. Both of these things are expressly against the 'guides' out there, but I find them invaluable as I can dance around the battlefield avoiding crap without stressing out.

Taking 2-3 weeks off of RL PER TIER for mythic progression.

Like, wtf. I get that tiers are few and far between, and lots of people have 5-6 weeks vacation built up if they've worked for a company for any period of time...But fuckin fuck. Like, jesus fuck. Like what in the goddamn monkey shit? Are people REALLY willing to burn most, if not all, of their fucking vacation time on a video game just to have the +gooder pixels first?

I mean, I've taken vacation around video games before, don't get me wrong...But I'm not willing to commit that 100% at the whim of someone else.

And what if you want to play other games? Like, its "Your fucking day job? its to fund WoW raiding"

I used to take time off when ever a new expansion hit in EQ or WoW just like a week or so. But per raid tier seems insane, since it's not something you can solo you also have to get everyone else in your group to take time off as well.

We've all been in a guild before with someone that played constantly and either had a trust fund or welfare paying the bills. WoW is big enough that you can get enough of those kinds of people together to form a guild.

Add to the fact alot of these people stream, sell runs, sell gold, etc....If i was a 20 year old obsessive wow player I could easily live off of like a few hundred dollars living in my moms basement.
