I think I logged in twice after the .2 patch. Think I am done with this shithole of a farm game for a while. Grinding shit I don't want to do to get what should be an inherent part of the game at max level is just terrible game design. I let it go in WoD since I was jobless for a few months and had nothing better to do than farm rep, but I think the cord has finally been cut forevermore. Maybe not. I might come back in a few months/years.

According to MMO Champ, these are current Brew changes. I sure hope to fuck there is more to explain this, because Blackout Strike getting an almost 5 times increase in CD not only fucks Brew damage, but it also nerfs Blackout Combo hard.

It's ok because they changed it so every time you use a brew it reduces the cooldown of BOS by 1 second! It's called SYNERGY. Who the fuck are you to DISAGREE WITH HIGH KING ION DRIVE, FORMER MYTHIC RAIDER AND MASTER PLANNER YOU PIECE OF SHIT "CUSTOMER"?

I am in the exact same boat. I have only logged on to check the AP timer on occasion. That last patch really did kill my interest in playing this game for a while.

I dunno they're so desperate to remove brew charges I'm doubting they'll let you tank with isb uptime. But don't worry! They're planning on giving you another 5% armor to compensate for your 95% DR ability!

Arnt you really over reacting here? The only thing that really changes to brews is your going to want to run high tolerance instead of the other 100 talent that I'm blanking on the name right now. Tiger palm and keg smash still reduce the cd on your brews do you'll still have it up close to 100% the only difference will probably be how much time you have left at the end of a fight. Which you're usually laughing about how you still have a minute plus. The biggest loss here is you lose the ability to pause your stagger after a giant hit but how often do you really even have to do that? The only thing this does is highly nerf brew damage which seems to be a really good trade off for being able to survive shit most people can't.

Personally the only thing they needed to do to brewmasters is cap stagger at a reasonable amount so they couldn't cheese certain mechanics but it seems bliz wants to leave that aline currently

Well the ISB thing would be fine but their proposal of capping uptime at like 12s for a brew seemed heavy handed and unnecessary. It would require a playstyle where you're waiting to use your ISB because if you front load them too much they'll all fall off around the same time. Their real concern is people are taking absurd damage that would kill them and able to purify 75% away instantly. They backpedaled on that a bit but I'm a bit worried that they're still going to put a hard limit here that will make the class a play less fluidly.

The only time I really have that much uptime left at the end of the fight is when I run HT and take less damage (less purifies). Also this is a byproduct of the 2/4pc set bonus, which I hope they aren't balancing around. The set makes you feel like you have infinite brews.

The blackout strike change is really weird too.

Also I complain about everything. If you read back in this thread about 90% of it is me complaining about my class.

unless they change how BoC works there is not really a reason to take it with those changes, HT is better survival and elusive dance is better dps if you are taking any meaningful damage at all.

right now my rotation is something like (Brew) BoS, tiger palm, (brew), (wait 1.46 seconds) BoS, tiger palm, (Brew) kegsmash,(brew), breathe of fire (wait 1.46 seconds) - repeat. i'll weave in exploding kegs wherenever its off cooldown. this is also considering i'm wearing the legendary chest.

With the proposed changes it makes the class GCD locked which i suppose is what blizzard wanted where i will constantly spam tigerpalms in between BoS's. blizzard seems to think that the class isn't fun right now because we aren't pushing buttons every second and that there is a slight pause with us waiting on black out strikes refreshing.
