Call me old fashioned, but I like to see people walking around and chatting and roleplaying and PvPing in dalaran and dueling outside of the city gates. There might not be a server community anymore like there used to be, and people mostly don't talk to each other anymore, but with a higher local population it at least feels somewhat social. There's something deeply depressing about going to a bank in an MMO and seeing nobody there. Like one time I went back to go play EQ, not during a progression server launch or anything special, but just on my own for fun. I had fun for a few weeks even though it was pretty lonely, but when I went to the bank and saw 0 people, that's when I got hit with a ton of bricks and logged out for a few years. Obviously WoW has millions of players and it's never that bad, but I like to see a shit ton of people in the capital cities. I spend a lot of time there, so it means something to me.

Edit: Looking into WoW communities gives me some hope. I am glad they are working on this and that they realize it's important. Now they just need to find a way to make people social and nice again lol.

Yeah I think that's a sentiment shared by many people. We all miss smaller tight knit communities. We miss your reputation on a server mattering and people knowing you or your guild at a glance. Sadly World of Warcraft is no longer that game. It's a glorified X-box lobby and has been moving in that direction ever since Battle Grounds were queueable. Back when they added retard rocks to try and auto group you. It's just something you have to accept in this game. Honestly you can play the game solo interact with very few people and access almost everything in the game short of the very top end things. Good or bad that is what it is.

The best way to overcome this and get a solid experience with a community is to be part of one yourself. The reason the FoH guild was fun for the most part is because there is community there, most people are around to help each other out and so on. LFR, and LFG provide nothing but warm body retards who are tools for us to get our loots these days. Sometimes I wouldn't even give a shit if they were replaced by NPC's at least NPC's you know would put out a solid throughput and wouldn't AFK.

I know my schedule will be sporadic in BfA so I will be using Discord's/ Communities/ and Guild to accomplish things I wanna do for sure. Caring about who is in Dalaran or Org is long long past. Just like giving a shit out people having a tier set on. Maybe when they release the classic servers you can get some of that.

Does anyone know if there has been a new round of TGC pets being duped on thrown on the AH?

I ended up buying both of these over the last couple of days for about 150k each. I am pretty sure I could try and flip them. Either way the way gold inflates in this game I figured I was better off investing in some shit before the patch.. Still will probably buy another 10 or so tokens I guess. I want a few million going into BfA to flip and run the AH when I can but aside from that I dont wanna be to gold heavy.

Gusting Grimoire
Landro's Lichling

There is a Spineclaw Crab for 399k which seems like a deal but too much for me to wanna buy.

If you pick them up off of the AH, then there is no worries about them. The fear with the old duped pets, was that many of them could not be learned. You would get a message along the lines of 'you have not learned that spell' or 'that item is out of charges'.

If you can learn the battle pet, you can cage it and sell it again.

The Spineclaw Crab is not a TCG pet, it is a rare drop from a rare spawn on the Timeless Isle.

Yes that was another reason I didn't buy the Spineclaw Crab, since it is obtainable still. The TGC things are limited in the number even if there is some fuckery every once in a while. Also I flat out wont buy anything from trade when it comes to items like this. Sometimes when I am crafting I will buy mats from what clearly are farmers but that's about as high as my risk tolerance will go.

I figure with the TGC pets that even if I can't flip them quickly they will do nothing but go up in value as inflation in this game rises, also there is the added benefit of pets being an easy way to move gold across servers and factions.

Anyone found any less known, but better, guides on getting all professions to 800 than the crap they have on wowhead?

Wow professions was my go to place for leveling professions and mat farming routes, back when professions actually did anything (other than alchemy), and I cared about them.

When it comes to boosting an alliance character. Stormrage looks like it has the biggest population by far. Anyone with experience on that realm? Also any alliance bros around who would be cool enough to help boost a fresh 110 character through some M+ and shit, maybe some bags and enchants, or a tiny bit of gold. I'll suck your dick.

Someone would need to have a ally toon on Stormrage to provide anything there, otherwise I can help you turn some of your MG horde gold into Ally gold if you want, but you would need to be on the ally side of the low/medium pop Alleria-Khadbro server. As for the other stuff; with bags, I usually end up buying what ever bag is under 100g each on the AH, the mage tower attempts killed all my enchanting supplies and then some, and I dont plan on stepping in another dungeon outside of BFA for at least a year, if not 10 (and shitty fucking timewalking, where legos probably wont even work).

Flying around Dalaran on Mal'Ganis, during prime time, looked to have, roughly, three times as many people in it, when compared to my medium pop cluster. Which I would still consider that MG pop as low pop when compared to the amount of people present when major patches were released. MG Dalaran looked to be almost all populated by MG people, whereas my home cluster had people with a bunch of various -server tags. On the other hand, I spend most (almost all) of my time in the order halls, or in the field (before we stopped raiding), and the people lounging about the Order halls were about the same.

So, I guess there are some differences when it comes to main cities and the current CRZ tech may still have some cluster limitation when it comes to the automatic populating of zones (as opposed to manual server hoping). I dont know if they this will change at all with the new Warmode changes, as I would imagine its going to tweek all CRZ parameters, not just pvp.

For evaluating capital city traffic, I may have missed it being linked, but Wow progress is as good as any to see server activity, create some human/orcs on any of the top 5 and run to SW/Org to see if they suit your fancy.

Communities are all organized around shit like Discord now. You may play WoW, "alone" but find choice people on shit like the Achievements discord and what have you. That's the bank these days.

My problem with a lot of communities now is that I'm in my 40s and can't stand being around young shitheads that make me want to murder someone. Thats what I like about hanging out in games with the FoH people because, for the most part, they're in my age range or getting near it and have damn similar interests.

Mal'Ganis is the server I play on, it was always fairly high pop but it got a huge influx of players when Easy (now Wildcard Gaming) server transferred there.

Mal'Ganis has always been an amazing server horde heavy with a big population I moved from there to go to Hyjal to play with the FoH folks but I still have a couple of characters on Mal'Ganis.. There are certainty some elitist dickwads on the server but overall for Horde I would say it's one of the top.

So I didn't realize this til I read the pre-patch post on wowhead just now but if you turn on War Mode you don't even see other players unless they also have War Mode on. Does that mean it's an entirely separate CRZ?

And apparently neither of the 2 new Mount Collection Achievement mount rewards fly.... are they planning on keeping flying completely out of BfA like they originally planned for WoD? The 400 mount reward is still lame as hell. I thought it was gonna be a fel skinned Solar Spirehawk/Violet Spellwing model.

So I mentioned trying to get a group for the Chosen. I am going to see about this weekend maybe Friday Night or Saturday, depending on the interest maybe we can run it twice.

Count me in. I'll ask Midori, too.

Yeah I'm weird in that I DO NOT want to join a discord, but I would like a local community on a server. You know, old school shit where reputation matters and people know one another. But I really can't bother having Discord open all day and being spammed with chitter chatter about misc shit. I specifically found a guild that didn't require Discord lol. I tried the Discord thing and it was just too intense. I felt like I was never logging out and that when I was logged in I wasn't focused enough on escapism and playing the game because of all the discord chat.

You seem to have a weird idea of what discord is then. Maybe you are too old.

Oh, dont know why I thought FoH was on MG.

Pretty sure they learned their lesson with WoD, and henceforth flying will be acquired midway through the xpac with achievements.

The only people I ever hear complain about how there is a lack of "community" or "reputation" in WoW today are the same people who refuse to participate in the available communities and never build a friends list.
